Job Description The role of the Trade Compliance Administrator is required to ensure that Alcoa Corp.'s operations is able to maintain a level of compliance consistent with Alcoa’s values, as well as, the import and export laws of the various countries in which Alcoa operates. The position of Trade Compliance Administrator is primarily responsible for supporting our global Trade (import/export) programs. This position will be responsible for the day to day processing of the North America import and export activity; maintaining the various Trade reporting systems and the related classification, valuation, trade agreements record keeping mandated by the respective countries. In addition, this individual will ensure Alcoa and all associated global locations are in full compliance with the import and export laws of the countries where they do business. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: · Oversee import and export filings. This includes monitoring all inbound, outbound to ensure transactions are performed in a timely and accurate manner while maintaining a high level of compliance with all import and export rules and regulations. This also includes the entry reconciliation, bonded warehouse entries, self-filing entry program and related party transactions. · Ongoing development and management of standardized audit and testing processes needed to identify potential trade compliance issues associated with operational procedures with the locations and/or broker errors. • Assist with completing various ITAR or BIS export license applications, creating MLA’s, TAA’s, work with applicable technical engineers on developing formal Commodity Jurisdiction and Commodity Classification Requests, and oversees and manages approvals of these various governmental applications when received • Maintains license files in a database of current and expired licenses, including tracking of in-process and pending licenses, compliance monitoring, reporting and recordkeeping. The position acts as a first line supervisor of Substation personnel. The incumbent is responsible for the daily power usage of the facility and must have excellent communication skills to ensure the forecasting of production electrical loads is accurate and achievable. Communication is also critical with suppliers of the facility’s power to ensure upstream disruptions are well managed and changes in load requirements are understood to meet contractual demands. Human relation skills are very important to effectively perform this role. Incumbents must work with a wide variety of personnel at all levels inside and outside of the plant. This position functions as an in-house expert on a wide variety of mechanical and electrical subjects requiring extensive problem solving capabilities that are aided through extensive experience. Job Description The Alcoa Corp Aluminum Automated Solutions Team has the mandate to bring Alcoa Aluminum Business Unit to a superior level of automation, by working on innovative projects that deploy the full scope of Automation.
