Principal Responsibilities:   Load and unload (operate) machining centers within cycle time. Perform special inspections per instruction (100% gauging, visual checks, etc.). Ensure the work area is clean, orderly, and safe. Other activities as directed by supervision   After 3 months or more of continuous service - may be allowed to do the following, at supervisor's discretion, and only with appropriate documented training and demonstration of competence: Recover misloads from Broaches. Assist springers in layer checks and SPC. Perform tool changes. Fill out all paperwork completely and accurately. Assist technicians in troubleshooting or preventive maintenance.   Must be able to stand for 12 hours and lift up to 20-30 lbs throughout shift, handling at least 1600 parts per shift. Steel Toed Shoes and Safety Glasses required. GED/HSD required.

SUMMARY Operates the plate lift, separates pressed laminate, and stacks the material. Lays up the treated decorative and core material under direction of the press operator and Foreman. Performs other tasks as needed.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.   Retrieves and positions tables of component material to be laid up for the production process. Inspects component material, plates, and completed laminate. Lays up the component material and lays off completed laminate according to the production process. Handles the movement of stainless steel plates, carrier plates, thermal wire and completed laminate. Initiates corrective action if production operations are not to standard. Transfers the thermal wire board, insert the thermal wires and attaches to posts. Logs production information such as: material produced, type, size, run, control settings, etc. Moves the pressed material to the Sander Department. Performs lock-out/tag-out procedures and preventative maintenance checks.   ENTRY REQUIREMENTS   EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or equivalent.   KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards. Knowledge of basic mathematics sufficient to add and subtract. Skill in hand and eye coordination. Skill in operating a lift truck. Skill in establishing effective working relationships with other personnel. Ability to work as a team member. Ability to identify patterns and finishes. Ability to visually detect product imperfections and defects.
