The primary purpose of the Transportation Aide is to drive facility vehicle to transport residents, staff and volunteers to desired
destinations. Provides assistance/escort for residents to and from rehabilitation treatments. As a Consulate Health Care Transportation

Job Functions
As Transportation Aide, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your
assigned duties. Responsible for providing assistance/escort for residents traveling to and from rehabilitation treatment. No supervisory
function. This job description does not list all the duties of the job. You may be asked by the supervisors or managers to perform other

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Review daily rehabilitation schedule and be available, as indicated.
2. Provide minimal assist of residents transferring to and from wheelchairs.
3. Assist nursing and rehabilitation personnel with transfers to and from vehicle.
4. Transport residents to and from rehabilitation area for scheduled appointments.
5. Operate elevators, as needed.
6. Inform nursing and rehabilitation staff of any incidents/problems.
7. Maintain positive, professional interaction with residents and staff.
8. Attend in-service training sessions, as required.
9. Adheres to facility policies and procedures and participates in facility quality improvement and safety programs.
