**Summary:**
The Outcomes Research Program Manager will partner with physicians and scientists across the department to produce high quality research on a variety of topics utilizing teams of residents, medical students and staff and both departmental and institutional resources. This role independently manages research projects, from literature reviews through publication, performing data collection and analysis, coordinating tasks amongst the team, troubleshooting and reporting on progress to Principal Investigators and department leadership at regular intervals. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.
**Required Job Qualifications:**
• Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years related experience
• Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to make independent judgments; be self-motivated and use time and resources effectively with limited supervision.
• Strong project management skills managing complex, multi-faceted projects
• Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite.
**Preferred Job Qualifications:**
Master’s degree in a related field.
**Responsibilities:**
• Lead evaluation efforts, including strategy, data collection from electronic health record and other sources, analysis, and reporting research projects
• Develop and maintain research databases
• Conduct analysis of process and outcome measures
• Participate in literature reviews and lead grant writing for external funding of new projects
• Produce reports and visualizations of data collected
• Present data and formal reports to internal and external stakeholders, including funders
• Communicate regularly with program leadership about all aspects of research projects
• Develops and maintains research relationships with external agencies and institutions.
• Responsible for interfacing with Principal Investigators and staff to gather information for operational enhancement.
• Responsible for overseeing the timely completion of studies, ensuring all studies are run appropriately.
• Writes Institutional Review Board proposals for projects assigned.
