The CSCP Organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), decommissioning and disposition of Data center assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, Skype, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. As a Principal Technical Solution Manager, Microsoft Cloud Planning, you will partner with multiple Supply Chain organizations to lead and drive system and process initiatives to enable the increasing scale and growth of Microsoft Cloud.
**Responsibilities**
+ Leading cross-functional transformation of Microsoft Cloud Planning (MCP)
+ Driving maturity in transformation processes and governance, working with other leaders across Capacity, Supply Chain & Provisioning (CSCP) and other organizations
+ Improving the ability to deliver to business-critical needs in an agile and timely manner with high quality, working with cross-functional stakeholders
+ Ensuring business ownership and approval for system improvements that affect MCP
+ Measuring and improving the ability to deliver on cross-functional transformation programs
+ Providing business ownership and insights for system improvements
+ Driving cross-functional transformation programs and projects
+ Articulating business requirements and impact
+ Contributing to development of all steps of the development/deployment process: needs/opportunity identification and impact quantification, requirements generation, key design decisions, user acceptance test development and execution, coordination of subject matter experts, sign-off of deliverables
+ Contributing industry best practice knowledge for process and system approaches in areas such as forecasting, capacity planning, hardware demand planning, inventory buffering, supply planning, and long-range planning
**Qualifications**
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programming
+ OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years experience in Engineering, Operations, Project Management, or Programming
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 8+ years of leading cross-functional transformation including Supply Chain systems and process re-engineering.
**Other Requirements:**
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
**Preferred Qualifications: **
+ Demonstrated Systems Thinking with record of accomplishment in discovering connections (and gaps) between seemingly disparate or independent components of a framework
+ Demonstrated Change Leadership - successes in leading process and organization transformation.
+ Supply Chain transformation experience Project/Program Management experience managing the implementation of Supply Chain Systems projects, such as forecasting, demand planning, supply planning, purchasing / sourcing, warehousing / inventory management Experience in Capacity Planning and/or Supply Chain Management, with an understanding of different supply chain models
+ Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Developing ability to think both strategically and tactically is desired.
+ Proficiency in Enterprise Planning systems (such as SAP, Oracle, E2Open, etc.) and business intelligence engines (SQL, Power Business Intelligence (BI), Power Pivot, Tableau, etc.) are highly desired for this role
+ Experience in driving Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) transformation Experience in Lean Six Sigma APICS Certification preferred
Technical Solution Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.
