JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the overall operation of the wastewater pre-treatment system including the R.O. water system and the Metal Paint System. Responsible for all hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal and logs (includes Quality Control Charting). This position requires use of personal protective equipment. Also will provide training and leadership to direct hourly employees and to meet and exceed production and quality standards. The first section below outlines the essential job functions of the metal paint tech job. Metal Paint Techs must be able to perform these functions, with or without a reasonable accommodation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Complete understanding to operate and maintain Electro-Disposition Coating System.

+ Operate, maintain, perform daily tests, and log results for Wastewater Treatment, RO and other production systems.

+ Follow specific written and verbal procedures to ensure efficient operation of systems.

+ Pre-production checks and start-up of systems (wastewater and paint).

+ Follow written procedures for testing for Electro-Disposition Coating System.

+ Titrate washer system and all gauge readings.

+ Communicate effectively with outside vendors and personnel.

+ Work with hazardous materials while following specific safety precautions, OSHA, DOT and EPA regulations. May require some work in Haz-Mat suit.

+ Ensure a high quality product is produced in your area of job responsibility, by meeting all quality standards and taking appropriate action when necessary.

+ Coach, develop, motivate, and train employees to be efficient and productive.

+ Perform duties assigned by Supervisor.

+ Work overtime as required and mandated by production schedules.

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull up to 100 lbs.

+ Ability to bend, twist, turn, kneel, squat, and climb.

+ Stand and walk up to eight hours per day.

+ Work safely around moving equipment, power tools, and industrial vehicles.

+ Ability to work with hazardous materials and chemicals.

_It may be necessary to perform any of these functions up to eight hours a day._

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

+ 3+ years of paint experience required.

+ High School diploma or GED required. AA degree or specialized training preferred.

+ Display communication and leadership skills, both written and verbally.

+ Basic understanding of math and chemistry i.e., PH, conductivity, titrations, reagents.

**Base Pay Range:**

$23.24 - $27.78
