Job Summary
As the General Manager, you’ll ensure overall operational excellence, meeting client expectations and budget targets. You’ll build and maintain strong relationships with employees, guests, the client, and other departments. Your leadership will foster professional growth, effective team dynamics, and seamless integration with facility operations.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Lead and participate in staff meetings, performance reviews, and training.
+ Adhere to company policies and all relevant laws and regulations.
+ Control costs while upholding quality and safety standards (including HACCP).
+ Maintain positive relationships with staff, clients, guests, and internal teams.
+ Oversee financial management-budgets, P&L reporting, forecasting, and cash handling.
+ Manage purchasing, inventory, and menu planning in collaboration with chefs.
+ Analyze financial data to identify trends and inform strategic decisions.
+ Develop staff through hiring, training, and succession planning.
+ Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations.
+ Ensure accuracy and integrity in all administrative and financial processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience)
+ 8-10 years upscale food service experience; 6+ years at management level
+ Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
+ Skilled in scheduling, training, and team development
+ Financial expertise in budgeting, inventory, purchasing, and cost controls
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office; ServSafe or DOH certification preferred
+ Strong catering background and impeccable business etiquette.
