**Job Description**
We are currently seeking candidates for a Supply Technician position, located in our Wallops Island, VA. Our facilities contain nearly every combat system supported in the Navy with corresponding on-site tactical systems. We are seeking a Supply Technician to process and move the needed materials to support the SCSC Wallops mission. A few of these systems include: the Close in Weapons Systems (CIWS), multiple variants of the Gun Weapons Systems (GWS), the Navy s newest radars and communication/network systems. Additionally Naval systems such as SPY, SPS-48G, SPS-73 CANES, IFF and CEC systems are just a few examples of the large assortment of high-tech military equipment at our facilities that need supply support. SCSC is located on a barrier island on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and is a tenant of the NASA s Wallops Flight Facility. SCSC provides live combat systems suites with platform specific radars and sensors and supports the following functions: combat system lifetime support engineering, platform certification, operational and technical evaluation, combat system training, interoperability testing and participates in Live at-sea and air exercises. SCSC provides a high-fidelity combat system capable of replicating the configuration of every ship in the AEGIS and Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) fleet today, as well as future ship platforms. The selected candidate will perform the following tasks:
Conduct cost estimating
Maintain and track inventory, equipment, and conduct physical audits of inventory
Performing stock control functions in Navy automated supply systems.
Maintain relevant knowledge and proficiency in databases, policies, nomenclature, and procedures
Use analytical skills to identify supply system issues and implement policy-compliant solutions.
This position is controlled by the Service Contract Act (SCA) and is classified as non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
Three years of relevant experience to include cost estimating, maintaining, and tracking inventory and equipment, and conducting physical audits of inventory. Experience working with administration in a military environment. Experience working in automated Supply Systems performing stock control functions.
Experience with Government supply systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, and manual. Experience researching and implementing policy-compliant solutions for supply system discrepancies.
Forklift experience desired.
Navy supply experience desired.
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
Highly desired, but not required: Active DoD clearance
**Pay Information**
This position is covered by a wage law called the McNamara-O'Hara Service Contract Act (SCA). The wage range for this position is determined by the Wage and Hour Division of the Department of Labor on a contract-by-contract basis.
