Associate Program Manager II

Summary

Leads routine program management functions on assigned multiple projects or sub-projects of moderate complexity. Completes, with limited oversight, assignments in support of one or more weapon, product/service, or reimbursable program.

Duties and Responsibilities

+ Evaluates, determines, and drives program management activities to manage one or more moderately complex program or portfolio

+ Provides knowledgeable input to review and drive execution of innovative solutions to technical issues

+ Applies program management and financial standard to the development of cost and schedule framework for projects and program elements

+ Provides assistance in the financial planning, monitoring, scheduling, preparation, and release of technical/schedule information required for program/project planning

+ May assists in establishment and oversight of production/project definitions, maintenance of schedules, and engineering releases associated with weapon or reimbursable programs

+ Performs some technical, administrative, and logistical liaison roles with company, design agencies, laboratories, integrated contractors for a program or portfolio

+ Builds and maintains collaborative relationships with other internal business units and external customers

+ Guides and mentors lower-level Associate Program Managers

You Must Have

+ Bachelors Degree required

+ 2+ years of relevant experience in engineering, business, or program management

+ Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

+ Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business

+ Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job

+ United States Citizenship

+ Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)

+ Bachelors degree in Business or Engineering

+ Ability to integrate concepts and information with program management systems and processes

+ Ability to provide project management guidance, consultative services, and innovative solutions

+ Working knowledge of business concepts principles associated with project cost and forecasting

+ Effective communication, interactive and presentation skills

+ Established knowledge of customers, products, technologies, processes and PMI certification preferred
