Sr Automation Tester - Microsoft Platform

**CTG is seeking to fill a Sr. Automation Tester – Microsoft Platform opening for our client in Anchorage, AK** **.**

**Location:** Remote

**Duration:** 18 months

**Duties:**

+ Design, build, and maintain automated test cases for new and existing functionality within Microsoft-based applications

+ Develop and execute automated test plans/scripts using tools aligned with Microsoft technologies (e.g., Selenium, MSTest, SpecFlow, Azure DevOps)

+ Collaborate with cross-functional Agile teams including developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are fully understood and test coverage is comprehensive

+ Validate complex workflows such as voter registration, elections processing, and compliance logic

+ Support performance, integration, and regression testing efforts

+ Contribute to the evolution of test automation frameworks and quality assurance best practices

+ Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings to support continuous improvement

**Skills:**

+ Strong coding skills in C#, PowerShell, or equivalent scripting languages

+ Proficiency with the Microsoft development stack, including .NET Core, Azure, and SQL Server

+ Deep understanding of test automation practices, including test design, CI/CD integration, and test data management

+ Expertise in Azure DevOps and related test management tools

+ Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks such as SpecFlow or Cucumber

+ Ability to bridge gaps between legacy systems and modern cloud-based platforms

+ Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to ensuring software quality

**Experience:**

+ 5+ years of hands-on experience in software testing, with a significant focus on automation

+ Demonstrated experience validating enterprise-level applications and supporting large-scale data migration initiatives

+ Experience working in Agile development environments, contributing to the full SDLC

+ **Bonus:** Experience with government or elections-related systems, or modernizing from mainframe to cloud

**Education:**

+ Bachelor’s Degree

**Certification Requirements:**

+ **Bonus:** AZ-104, AZ-400, or PL-900

+ Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $140,000 annually. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
