This position is responsible for management of Category & New Product procurement supporting multiple brands within the Kitchen Category Group of Newell Brands’ Home and Commercial Segment. This role will have a primary focus on development, execution, and oversight of procurement strategy, productivity delivery, supplier innovation development, and participation in cross-functional new product development teams. The Sourcing Manager will be expected to demonstrate strong leadership qualities, leading multiple projects both individually and by providing direction to peers and a direct report. This position will be a key stakeholder to cross-functional team members inclusive of R&D, Quality, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.

+ Develop and execute procurement strategies for sourced finished good categories that encompass the following:

+ Productivity: Develop & implement a pipeline of opportunities to ensure delivery of annual gross productivity targets

+ Lead and execute direct negotiations & market events to validate best total cost levels and support procurement strategy.

+ Drive supplier innovation ideas and efficient partnership with cross-functional team members to support a new product development product pipeline.

+ Working capital improvements:Implement continuous improvement in supplier payment terms, lead time, and inventory reductions

+ Sustainability - Coordinate activities to support Newell sustainability & responsible procurement compliance initiatives related to Sourced Finished Goods

+ Responsible for commercial activities with designated suppliers including but not limited to the following:

+ 5+ years of applicable experience including extensive knowledge in procurement

+ Highly motivated and able to drive results independently and as part of a team
