**Description**

Core Firmware improves performance, usability, and security of Apple firmwares across our products. Within Core Firmware, we have teams that specialize in: • Modernizing, refactoring, and scaling Apple's OS-loader firmware ecosystem • Extending and improving Apple firmware features such as Find My, Express Transit Card, and digital key fob • Accelerating firmware development by providing secure runtime environments and frameworks As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work across the company and engage with world-class engineers who are shaping the future of device security and robustness for all Apple products.

**Minimum Qualifications**

+ Experience in embedded firmware, device driver, and/or kernel-level development

+ Experience with C

+ Knowledge of unit, integration, and system testing approaches and how to apply them

+ Passion for delivering high-quality, innovative software

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Experience quickly learning, debugging, and improving on an existing complex system

+ Passion for collaborating across teams and roles

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field

+ Knowledge of modern processor architectures and supporting hardware

+ Experience with real-time operating systems

+ Experience with C++ and Python 3
