The Surgical Physician Assistant / PA will work within the Operating Room, which features 11 fully equipped surgical rooms, including two open heart suites, a cystoscopy suite, and a dedicated ophthalmology suite.
- First Assist in General Surgery, Orthopedic, Neurosurgery, Orthopedic Spine, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Thoracic and Vascular Surgery cases
- Performs history and physicals on surgical patients
- Performs post-operative rounds on surgical patients
Shifts: Per Diem - Available 8 and 12-hour rotating shifts; weekends; on-call week day & weekends
Qualifications:
- Completion of an AMA approved Physician Assistance Program
- Licensed by the Maryland Board of Physicians
- Board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
- CDS and DEA licensure
- BLS Health Care Provider CPR and ACLS certification required: AHA or Red Cross accepted
- PA OR work experience 1 year or greater required; Robotics experience preferred
- Provider Enrollment, Chain and Ownership Systems (PECOS) enrollment required
You must be fully credentialled by the Suburban Hospital medical board with staff privileges to start working.

Salary Range: Minimum 81.51 per hour - Maximum 81.51 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
