Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Principal Systems Engineer** to join our team on-premises in **Chantilly, VA.**

**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:**

+ Administering VMWare and Azure virtual on-premises infrastructures

+ Overseeing cloud services and maintain documentation

+ Providing advanced knowledge and support for Infrastructure, DoD Enterprise Architecture, Networking, and Cloud Business Process Management

+ Administering cloud services, meeting enterprise needs and ensuring alignment with business objectives

+ Supporting the application of cloud technologies and addressing current IT challenges

+ Supporting cloud technology tools and services to ensure effective usage and functionality

+ Providing support for the integrating of new applications/workloads into cloud environments and assisting with the transition of existing applications to virtualized/cloud environments

+ Providing Tier III IT Systems support on a wide range of technologies, including VMware vCenter, Azure Stack Hub, Horizon View, RDHS, Site Recovery Manager, HPAC Secure Printing, HP Blade Servers, HP SANs, Certificate Services, DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, Group Policies and Microsoft Windows Operating Systems

+ Diagnosing and resolving the performance, security, and/or technical challenges related to the platforms listed above

+ Investigating and resolving operational problems in conjunction with other engineering and technical personnel

+ Writing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to accomplish repetitive tasks

**Basic Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in IT or Computer Science, or related technical field; additional 4 years systems engineer experience might be substituted for a degree

+ 7+ years cloud computing and network engineering experience

+ Experience with VMware and Azure virtualization technologies

+ Must have one or more of the following certifications: VMWare VCP, or AWS Solutions Architect within 6 months of your start

+ Experience in engineering and administrative activities with cloud services

+ Must be open to up to 10% local travel within the DC metro area

**Preferred Qualifications** :

+ ITIL v3 or 4 Foundation Certification highly desired

+ Certifications such as Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure, VMware VCP7 – CMA are highly desired

**Security Clearance Requirements:**

+ US Citizenship required, and active TS clearance adjudicated within the last 6 years

+ Candidate must be open to a random poly

**Physical Requirements:**

+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

+ Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

+ Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.

+ Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

+ Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
