Cybersecurity-Associate - Fusion Center Monitoring and Response

**Job Description:**

The Cybersecurity-Associate is responsible for monitoring and responding to potential cybersecurity events with in the Fusion Center. They will interact with various tools including: SIEM/SOAR platforms, firewalls, Antivirus/EDR, email security, Proxy/VPN, IDS, IPS, UEBA, DLP, CASB, etc. This individual is also responsible for assisting in creating and maintaining detection use cases and incident response playbooks. Fully functioning professional experienced in many aspects of information systems and cybersecurity technologies and systems. Functions independently and produce results that meet standards of quality, timeliness and acceptability with minimal supervision and general direction.

May need to go into the office occasionally.

**Job Functions:**

+ Monitors security events and logs from various systems and networks.

+ Analyzes logs, network traffic, and data to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities

+ Responds to security incidents and threats utilizing established playbooks and IR procedures.

+ Documents cybersecurity incidents and reviewing incident reports.

+ Maintains an up-to-date knowledge of security threats, vulnerabilities, and countermeasures.

+ Receives and responds to incoming calls, pages and/or e-mails.

+ Collaborates with other cybersecurity teams, IT personnel, and HR teams.

+ Participates in 24/7/365 shift coverage

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Pursuing an entry-level cybersecurity industry certification such as Security+ 1-2 years of related work experience

+ Working networking/security understanding

+ Working knowledge of TCP/IP addressing

+ Troubleshooting skills

+ Linux command lin experience

+ Working understanding of information security related regulations

+ Working understanding of IS security detection and response tools/techniques

+ Working skills in analysis, attention to detail, problem resolution, judgment, and decision-making

+ Effective communication, presentation, and collaboration skills **​**

Interact with others requiring the employee to communicate information.

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

$28.90 - $45.52
