GENERAL FUNCTION:

Leadership, client-facing role, directing deal teams working on asset securitization transactions focusing on Esoterics including transportation (aviation, rail, and container). Develop relationships with senior executives both inside the bank and at our clients and prospects. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and leading securitization transactions. Responsible for working with Relationship Managers to originate securitization opportunities, structuring, and execution of asset financings including lending, securitization and private placement (144a or 4a2), portfolio purchase, and advisory. Work with Portfolio Managers to support existing management of the current portfolio and clients. Perform all underwriting and work with Credit on all execution opportunities, either loan or other format. Key role in origination of ABS and private placement and 144a and 4a2; responsible for all components of execution: including pitching, creating analysis and pitch content, all elements of deal execution, idea generation, rating agency dialogue along with modeler/structurer. Will also be involved in establishing key policies and procedures related to lead left and right roles on ABS and private placement transactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients alongside the RM’s focused on the delivery of ABS and asset backed finance advice and analysis to prospects and clients considering alternative secured debt financing solutions including asset securitizations.

+ Work as a part of a team with the Relationship Managers to deliver solutions that generate capital markets revenue from a targeted list of clients and prospects.

+ Manage and prioritize a pipeline of securitization opportunities.

+ Identify, research and analyze potential new asset classes.

+ Provide leadership in the evaluation, structuring, and execution of securitization transactions.

+ Provide leadership in the monitoring and reporting of the securitization portfolio.

+ Create and deliver high value-added financial analysis and market advice to current and prospective securitization clients.

+ Provide leadership around the creation and delivery of capital markets (asset securitization) presentation materials. Lead and participate in pitching, driving, leading, managing and closing all aspects of ABS and loan/note asset securitization transactions in public or private markets.

+ Provide support to the Capital Markets businesses by assessing whether securities products and capital markets services would be appropriate for a particular client and working with the Capital Markets teams to provide those products and services to clients.

+ Pitch, structure, negotiate, market, and execute/close all client transactions

+ Management of ABS/private placement transaction processes from origination to closing including any rating agency agreement/analysis/dialogue/3rd party coordination and organization/coordination with Syndicate/discussion with investors and operational aspects for these transactions

+ Work with Sales and Syndicate to identify investor relationships and drive active engagement with client and investors

+ Support other areas of Asset Backed Finance team, when applicable, in Consumer or other esoteric sectors, to drive and share ABS execution experience and guidance

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Direct day to day management and supervision of an Asset Securitization Team; currently including 2-3 direct reports. Provide employees timely, candid, and constructive performance feedback; develop employees to their fullest potential by providing challenging opportunities, management and distribution of tasks to ensure successful deal execution and ongoing deal management, and processes for waivers/amendments.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:

+ 10+ years of experience in Banking, Investment Banking or Capital Markets. Strong ABS 144a, 4a2, and loan-format deal execution performance history and credit underwriting skills

+ Developed client relationships and management skills within specific ABS sector

+ Proven track record of success in originating, structuring, and closing asset securitization transactions- lending, ABS (144a), private placement (4a2)

+ Excellent presentation skills, both oral and written

+ Strong working experience with credit rating agencies and legal teams used in ABS sector financings

+ Experience in working with rating agencies and modeling scenarios/stress-case

+ Strong understanding of transaction models and understanding structural mechanics for esoteric assets

+ Solid experience of financing facilities (Warehouse, term loan, portfolio)

+ Team player with the ability to be a leader and manager for the sector and team on multiple transactions at any one time

+ Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7/79/63 license required.

Compensation for this position is largely incentive-based. Incentives are combined with either a base salary or a draw, resulting in total cash compensation. More information can be obtained upon request.
