**About this role:**
Wells Fargo is seeking a Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated Edition Platform Engineer (Lead Software Engineer). The Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated Edition Platform Engineering team is responsible for delivery of enterprise class platforms and services to stakeholders across the firm, with a deliberate focus on enabling and delivering a cloud native strategy. Our mission is to deliver stable, secure, scalable, container-based technologies and innovative services at speeds that delight and satisfy our customers and unleash the skills potential of our customers. This role will provide technical knowledge around TKGI/k8s platforms, environments, and emerging services to the Cloud PO / PaaS APO (US) with team members and partners to effectively partner with business stakeholders and drive the requirements gathering, strategy, roadmap, and backlog prioritization to deliver next generation hosting environments to our business partners.
This role is expected to be an engineer with platform experience supporting Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated Edition (TKGI). Candidate should have experience in creating, delivering, and securing Kubernetes clusters at scale for large enterprise, financial services, or other large, regulated sectors. Aggressive modernization milestones and deliverables tied to the hosting strategy, cloud strategy, and modernization roadmap are tied to delivery. The Lead Software Engineer must adopt and support a culture of diversity, intellectual curiosity, problem solving and openness.
**In this role, you will:**
+ Lead complex technology Cloud initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
+ Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
+ Lead team to achieve objectives
+ Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
+ Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
+ Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively.
+ Make decisions in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering and large-scale technology solutions. Design, Optimization and Documentation of the Engineering aspects of the Cloud platform
+ Understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
+ Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
+ Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
+ Working in a globally distributed team to provide innovative and robust Cloud centric solutions
+ Mentor team members
**Required Qualifications:**
+ 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 4+ years working with **Cloud Foundry/Kubernetes** and have a proven track record of building complex infrastructure programmatically **through automation and scripting**
+ 4+ years of experience with Cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, The Twelve-Factor App methodology)
+ 4+ years of Kubernetes or Cloud Foundry experience
+ 4+ years of experience with building, deploying, and securing cloud platforms and applications
+ 4+ years of experience with Linux
+ 4+ years of experience with modern SDLC practices (shift left, TDD, Trunk Based Development, GitOps)
+ 4+ years of experience in scripting (Shell, Python, nodeJS)
+ 4+ years of experience with Agile, CI/CD, DevOps concepts
**Desired Qualifications:**
+ Experience in VMWare, vSphere experience
+ Experience with monitoring, logging, observability tools (Splunk, Grafana, AppD, New Relic, Elastic, Open Telemetry)
+ Experience with Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD, Flux
+ Experience working with service mesh, load balancers, DDI
+ Experience working with cloud security management or governance tools
+ Experienced in implementing risk and control requirements for cloud infrastructure
+ Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to articulate technical solutions to both technical and business audiences
+ Ability to deliver & engage with partners effectively in a multi-cultural environment by demonstrating co-ownership & accountability in a matrix structure
+ Delivery focus and willingness to work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment

**Pay Range**
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$111,100.00 - $197,500.00
