FC Program Manager

Our Opportunity:

Chewy is seeking a seasoned and hands-on FC Program Manager to develop and audit best practices across our network. Key activities for this position include developing, owning, and driving maintenance reliability audits that will focus on supporting a world class reliability system. This role will develop the IOQ process and build standardized tools for all stakeholders to communicate. The TPM will establish the OEM relationship to cover warranty related defects. This individual will work with the Reliability Engineering Program Manager to revise current PM Plans to implement best practices aligned with OEM standards. Assisting in building and training the SME team to perform audits and equipment best practices for all sites to follow. The ideal candidate for this role will possess excellent communication and organizational skills with a technical depth of knowledge related to the mechanical aspects of automated sortation and robotics equipment. In addition, developing the preventative maintenance program for sortation equipment, this role will have input into capital purchases based on Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and total cost of ownership estimates.

What you’ll do:

+ Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to FC Facilities teams through continuous improvement initiatives and employment of a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) culture

+ Lead efforts to codify processes, standards, and reporting for field-based teams

+ Develop and conduct Crit 1 MHE audits while collecting trending defects to support reliability efforts across the fulfillment center network

+ Establish relationships with OEM to correct significant warranty covered defects

+ Develop the IOQ process and build standardized tools for all stakeholders to communicate findings and action items

+ Develop SME team to be the owners of the equipment audit process both for new launches and existing sites

+ Provide Site visit reports at conclusion of audits, driving lessons learned follow-ups

+ Coordinate equipment vendors for inspections, repairs, and modifications

+ Provide hands-on and classroom training for technicians at sites receiving audits

+ Support building shutdowns for equipment support and Peak preparations

What you’ll need:

+ Bachelor's degree in Reliability, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related field of study with comparable work experience.

+ 5+ years of work experience in reliability risk identification and assessment from component to system level applying analytical, experimental, and statistical approaches to evaluate product design and manufacture quality/reliability levels

+ Experience with proactive and effective reliability approaches in a cost-effective manner throughout product design, manufacture, and deployment phases of the product lifecycle.

+ Experience with failure analysis activities and root cause analysis

+ Ability in managing multiple qualification activities and development schedules

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Exceptional organizational and project management skills

+ Ability to comfortably work in an intensely deadline-oriented environment

+ Candidate must have an entrepreneurial and self-starting mentality and be able to deal with ambiguity

+ Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays.

+ Able to access all areas of building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation

+ Willingness to travel a minimum of 25%
