Director of Clinical Practice, RN – Downtown/Metro Region

As a formal clinical leader, the Director of Clinical Practice, RN – Downtown/Metro Region, is responsible for driving excellence in clinical operations and ensuring optimal patient outcomes at Rush Medical Group (RMG). This pivotal role involves developing and implementing innovative clinical strategies, fostering a culture of patient-centered care, and leading quality improvement initiatives. The Director of Clinical Practice, RN – Downtown/Metro Region will work closely with executive leadership and clinical teams to shape the future of healthcare, ensuring that RMG remains at the forefront of clinical excellence. This person exemplifies

the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

**The position will be based out of Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL** with a direct reporting relationship to the Associate Vice President, Associate Chief Nursing Officer of RMG.

Formal rounding, which includes travel to all sites within the Downtown/Metro region, is required at least monthly.

Reports to Associate Vice President, Associate Chief Nursing Officer of Rush Medical Group

Job Requirements

•Current State of Illinois registered nurse license.

•State of Indiana registered nurse license within six (6) months of hire.

•Master’s degree or higher; if master’s degree is not in nursing, then must have a bachelor’s degree in nursing. If master’s degree is an entry-level master’s degree, must have an advanced degree in nursing.

•Current American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) specialty certification.

•Maintain current basic life support (BLS) certification.

•A minimum of five (5) years of registered nurse experience with at least two (2) years of ambulatory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

•Progressive leadership or quality experience

•Green Belt Certification

•Analytical ability

•Communication skills are required to lead and teach
