**Maintenance Level 1-Colby, WI**
This is a full-time, hourly position.
**GENERAL REQUIREMENTS**
+ Work cooperatively in a team environment and accept and follow directions.
+ Follow time and attendance guidelines in accordance with the employee handbook.
+ Work requires professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Experienced in operating a variety of equipment and tools
+ Able to work well with minimal supervision
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and follow specified procedures
+ Able to stand for long periods and climb stairs regularly throughout shift.
+ Physically capable of lifting 75 pounds unassisted
+ Ability to regularly lift and / or carry up to 55 pounds individually or up to 100 pounds with assistance.
+ Ability to squat and bend frequently while lifting up to 55 pounds during shift.
+ Tolerant of seasonally very warm temperatures.
+ Basic computer knowledge and skills.
**QUALITY CONTROL REQUIREMENTS**
+ Knowledge of and ability to follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
+ Complete understanding of Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) and its importance.
+ Follow and monitor to assure all Safe Quality Food (SQF) guidelines are implemented and followed.
+ Report any suspicious activity related to food defense.
NOTE: Required to report food safety problems or concerns immediately to a person with authority to initiate action as indicated on the organizational chart.
**SAFETY REQUIREMENTS**
+ Be aware of and follow up to date OSHA regulations that apply to the tasks in your job.
+ Practice safe lifting techniques, bending and lifting with your legs not your back.
+ Pivot with your feet avoiding twisting at the waist.
+ Be aware of your surroundings, watching for forklift traffic and trip hazards such as pallets or cords.
+ Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for the job you are doing.
+ Maintain proper guards and safety devices when working with machinery and on catwalks.
+ Never operate equipment for which you have not been properly trained or certified for.
**EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS**
+ High school diploma/GED required
+ Electromechanical Degree preferred
**MEMBER OF FOLLOWING TEAMS**
+ Maintenance
**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Complete tasks assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
+ Assist in equipment set-up and reassembly.
+ Complete work order and preventive maintenance reports. Ensure all work is properly documented.
+ Respond quickly in the event of an emergency. Notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol.
+ Support production and clean-up with breakdowns or repairs.
+ Perform machine set ups for the next incoming shift.
+ Perform other tasks as assigned by management.
+ Respond to reports of suspicious activity related to food defense.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
