**What You’ll Do:**

+ This position will focus on technical line support including analysis and improvement of liquid processing and filling equipment operations.

+ Resolves problems, such as production process deviations, quality events, and crisis situations requiring fast and appropriate decisions with rapid implementation.

+ Attends all required meetings per site Management Operating System, engaging with operations, quality, and maintenance on production concerns.

+ Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) on a set of processes or a line at the plant.

+ Consults with internal engineers to review cost improvement projects, waste reduction projects, and in the design and implementation phases of capital projects.

+ Supports the transfer of technology to operations, and the testing of process or equipment changes.

+ Performs root causes analyses on equipment and manufacturing process issues.

+ Assists the project management office in evaluating cost versus benefit or proposed process improvement projects.

+ Provides technical evaluation and implementation plan input to the Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) program.

+ Resolves underlying problems. Identifies full range of customer needs and proposes solutions to address them; makes alterations in products or services to better meet (recognized or unrecognized) customer need, e.g. partners with an outside vendor to provide a better deliverable.

**Project Management:**

+ Independently plans and conducts small to medium-size projects within engineering specialty requiring conventional types of plans, investigations, validation documentation and/or equipment changes.

+ Establishes workable and trackable schedules. Works with staff, outside firms and/or consultants to agree on plans and timetables for a specific project. Identifies pinch points or conflicts. Sets performance metrics. Assigns responsibilities for team members. Develops a budget.

+ Maintains project controls and reporting for cost, scope, and schedule. Develops execution strategy, including procurement. Balances multiple demands within assignment, e.g., executes contingency plans to recover from schedule slippage and financial overruns.

**Required Qualifications:**

+ ​Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering degree preferred) or closely related discipline is desired.

+ 5+ years of significant experience applying engineering knowledge, mathematics and statistics, and ingenuity to complete assignments related to process/manufacturing systems.

+ Additional post-graduate education may contribute towards the years of experience.

+ Ability to independently gather manufacturing performance data and perform analysis, report findings, prepare and communicate recommendations and action plans, and execute plans to drive operational efficiency.

+ Possesses knowledge, background and working experience to apply sound engineering principles in support of liquid processing equipment operation including powder incorporation and mixing.

+ Possesses knowledge, background and working experience to apply sound engineering principles in support of liquid pasteurization and UHT heat treatment systems.

+ Possesses knowledge, background and working experience to apply sound engineering principles in support of aseptic processing and filling systems.

+ Possesses knowledge, background and working experience to apply sound engineering principles in support of automated cleaning systems (CIP).

+ Has basic understanding and familiarity with process control system operation and design (PLC, DCS, and SCADA Systems) as well as electrical control equipment.

+ Has basic understanding of industrial networks, networking protocols, network topologies, and their application

+ Has knowledge and experience with different types of process instrumentation, its principles of operation, and application.

**Preferred:**

+ Experience with various Rockwell PLC platforms (PLC-5, ControlLogix, CompactLogix, SLC 500), Emerson DeltaV and Modicon Quantum.

+ Technical background in nutritional products, food and beverage manufacture, or similar industries.

+ Demonstrated competency with fiscal control.

The base pay for this position is $72,700.00 – $145,300.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
