**Description:**

+ operating and cleaning the fluid filling and packaging equipment

+ cleaning the environment of the filling room

+ maintaining sanitary equipment and environment for the packaging of fluid products

+ operating fluid filling equipment at a proficient level, while filling products into gallon, half-gallon and single serve containers including milk, eggnog, fruit drinks, juices, teas and water

+ operating the CIP and COP systems

+ operating the floor cleaner and scrubbing equipment

+ disassembling and reassembling fluid fillers and associated equipment for cleaning

+ responsible for manual and hand cleaning of casers, labelers, conveyors, fillers, filler parts stackers, walls, drains, empty case conveyors, control panels, and any equipment involved in packaging

+ operating and maintaining equipment of the fluid packaging area, including labelers, conveyors, fillers, casers, stackers, etc.

+ maintaining accurate written production records

+ performing laboratory tests and monitor weight control of product, and

+ producing a quality product in a manner that meets Publix and Regulatory standards.

**Additional Information:**

Work Environment: The work environment is damp, wet, and includes working with high pressure hoses, cleaning chemicals and CIP systems. Standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and carrying is necessary. Work involves equipment that is moving. The work environment is also noisy and requires hearing protection. Personal protective equipment is required when using sanitation chemicals and equipment.

**Other Compensation Information:**

Weekend differential: A $2.00 per hour weekend differential is paid to associates for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. Saturday through 11:59 p.m. Sunday.

**Year End Bonus:**

To reward associates for their contributions to the company for the calendar year, Publix provides a Holiday Bonus in November. In the first year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to 15 hours of pay, and in the second year of continuous employment the bonus is equal to one week’s pay if associate remains employed through issue date of the bonus check. In subsequent years, the bonus is equal to two weeks’ pay.

**Required Qualifications:**

+ must be at least 18 years old

+ must demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)

+ must demonstrate safe working habits

+ must be able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently

+ must have a mechanical aptitude and demonstrate abilities

+ ability to obtain a license and operate a forklift

+ must have basic computer skills, including Man Machine Interface (MMI) and data entry

+ ability to climb ladders to clean conveyors

+ must be able to learn and perform all positions

+ must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

+ must have good human relations skills (the ability to work well with others and be a team player)

+ must be able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours

+ must have excellent attendance and punctuality

+ must have excellent safety work habits

+ must be willing to assist other team members in other areas

+ must be able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time

+ must be able to work efficiently with little or no supervision

+ must be able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions

+ must possess basic math skills

+ must be able to communicate effectively
