**About the role:**

Liquid I.V. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager, Commercial Finance to join our Finance team at a leading Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company. This role will be the voice of Finance in the decision-making process around the company’s investments in Brand Marketing, Innovation Development, and eCommerce. The successful candidate will partner with the Marketing, Ecommerce, and Innovation teams to maximize return on spend investment, land successful innovation, and grow revenue and profit. You will have strong commercial acumen and be able to translate complex and rigorous financial analysis into easily digestible key messages and actionable recommendations by business decision makers.

**Functions and duties of this role include, but not limited to:**

+ Be the lead finance business partner to the Marketing team and manage the company’s marketing investments to optimize returns.

+ Build annual financial plans and marketing investment forecasts. Lead actuals tracking and regular financial reviews, partnering multiple budget holders including Marketing, Media, Amazon, LIV.com, Impact, Consumer Insights, Omnichannel, and Sales team.

+ Design, implement, and regularly run pre and post return on investment analysis for spend to assess investment performance and guide business decision making on future investment plans.

+ Manage dynamic allocation of investments across activities / spend type / channels / customers as business needs and key priorities evolve.

+ Be the lead finance business partner for innovation and drive successful, profitable, sustainable innovation launches.

+ Develop innovation business case financials based on inputs from cross functional team on potential size, price level across channel, costs, and investment requirement.

+ Provide financial inputs, assessment, and judgment throughout the launch gate process, to drive launch decisions.

+ Track post-launch financial performance to identify learnings and build action plans to optimize innovation performance and apply learnings to future innovation.

+ Be the lead finance business partner to the eCommerce team.

+ Build annual plans, forecasts and actual profit and loss statements for the company’s eCommerce businesses – Amazon and LIV.com.

+ Analyze the performance of each channel, including movement across forecast cycles, identify risks and opportunities and make recommendations to drive sales.

+ Lead net revenue management for eCommerce, including price-pack architecture design, subscription program management, and promotion strategy.

+ Analyze company performance vs market.

+ Understand market growth and company performance relative to competitors and the category.

+ Leverage brand health indicators, such as household penetration, brand awareness to identify opportunities and risks.

**Qualifications:**

+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.

+ 8+ years of commercial finance experience in CPG environment (preferred), including 3+ supervisory. Must lead, develop, and manage Team Member(s).

+ Motivated self-starter who sets and drives a change agenda and likes to build, with a hands-on, roll-up-your sleeves approach. 

+ Commercial acumen, excellent analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication, and negotiation skills.

+ Considers internal and external business context and end-to-end business processes holistically (product development, supply chain, marketing, sales).

+ Able to translate complex financial analysis into simple, easily digested messages to stakeholders, provide actionable recommendations and influence executive decision making.

+ Proven ability to lead and develop team members, and work effectively with Finance counterparts and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.

+ Manages multiple priorities and works under time constraints and deadlines.

+ Operates independently with light supervision as a player and a coach.

+ Strong technical and systems capabilities. Proficient in ERP systems, advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.

+ Comprehensive understanding of financial reporting and management reporting, including sound understanding of U.S. GAAP.

**Work Environment:**

The expected salary range for this position is $123,000 - $184,600 annually and is bonus eligible. The exact salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, internal company equity, and budget.
