**Vice President Quality - Nutrition - Erlanger, KY**
**Position Summary:**
The Vice President of Quality for Nutrition will provide leadership, direction and guidance regarding food safety and quality management systems for the Nutrition segment. This role supports the Nutrition business unit as an industry leader in quality and food safety, manages a strategic plan to advance the company's business objectives and promotes quality throughout each segment in the Nutrition organization.
**Job Responsibilities:**
+ Develop and implement global Food Safety and Quality processes throughout the Nutrition business unit and supply chain.
+ Develop and oversee food safety and quality strategies that support company business objectives.
+ Ensure alignment across Nutrition segments with quality related priorities and policies.
+ Lead the Nutrition quality function through coaching, collaboration, planning and the sharing of best practices.
+ Attract, develop and retain high caliber talent to achieve 'best-in-class' food safety and quality systems and assure that this function is effective in supporting Nutrition business objectives.
+ Provide oversight of the quality control program in order to ensure compliance to customer specifications, product safety and adherence to food safety requirements.
+ Ensure compliance to quality and food safety regulations within the business both domestically and internationally.
+ Develop and monitor metrics to monitor and improve product and process quality.
+ Implement QA and Food Safety programs and requirements at Nutrition manufacturing facilities and ensure compliance to expectations with our co-packers and suppliers.
+ Support the sales organization with guidance, recommendations, resources and customer communication on quality and food safety issues.
+ Partners with the VP, Quality Tech Center in developing and maintaining appropriate Quality and Food Safety programs.
+ Network with agencies and industry groups and to keep abreast of changes in food safety and quality and to be proactive in changes to food safety requirements.
**Job Requirements:**
+ Bachelor’s degree required with a Masters preferred in Food Science, Microbiology or related field.
+ 15+ years of industry experience in Food Manufacturing.
+ 10+ years Quality Management experience.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must. Ability to communicate and interact with all levels of the organization, including senior management, customers, and regulatory officials as needed.
+ Prior enterprise level quality and food safety experience is required.
+ Knowledge and experience working with FDA, USDA and international regulatory agencies.
+ Knowledge and experience with GFSI and QMS certifications.
+ Extensive experience in a food/beverage manufacturing and laboratory environment, HACCP, and food safety practices.
