Sourcing Process & Initiatives Leader

**Job Description Summary**

Come join the Sourcing Lean, Process & Digital Operations team that is changing the way we do Procurement at GE Aerospace! This team will be at the core of driving continued organizational transformation to improve outcomes for our employees, customers, and shareholders. The organization is structured around three areas of focus, integrating select existing teams to streamline our approach:

1. LEAN ... Advancing our Lean journey with FLIGHT DECK capability development, coaching, operating cadences, and centralized Kaizen Roadmaps.

2. PROCESS ... End-to-end sourcing Value Stream Mapping (VSM) ownership in both commercial (Inquiry to Order) and delivery (Order to Remit) spaces, linking to broader Aerospace VSM and envisioned future of Connected Flow Supply Chain.

3. DIGITAL ... Capability development to support process, data quality & governance, ownership of our suite of digital tools & systems, and leading a digital transformation path with a focus on Cloud technologies and AI.

This role is a process focused role embedded inside the Lean, Process & Digital team helping to drive the process vision above. The role will be embedded into the business working under the Value Stream leader and partnering with peers on lean & digital to execute the transformation by creating customer value and in turn driving business performance. In this role you will have shared accountability for business results by execution of items on the Kaizen Roadmap, identifying process improvement needs, being a process owner, developing & maturing processes, leading operating cadence (daily management, operating reviews, etc.), problem solving, kaizen and other fundamentals of FLIGHT DECK.

This role is based out of our Evendale, OH Sourcing HQ, but is eligible for a hybrid working schedule.

**Job Description**

+ **FLIGHT DECK** ... provides coaching on problem solving methods, leadership of FLIGHT DECK fundamentals and establishment/promotion of lean culture. Ensures processes are formalized and documented through standard operating procedures, work instructions, and standard work templates as required.

+ **Value Stream Management** ... ownership of processes on current state VSM, annual updates to future state VSM via support on VSA events, and connections to enterprise VSMs up & downstream.

+ **Kaizen Roadmap** ... responsible for the owning/executing events outlined on the roadmap, ongoing maintenance of roadmap items, org communication & stakeholder engagement for events, gaining support & sponsorship for events, prioritizing events to maximize impact, and quantifying impact of items back to business outcomes

+ **Metrics** ... support of metrics related to VSM, inclusive of developing new measures, maturing existing measures, and driving results/target setting for all TTIs and/or KPIs

+ **Daily Management & Operating Cadences** ... responsible for establishing, scaling, and maturing the operating cadences & daily management required for VSM success.

+ **Process** ... responsible to own and/or support any processes related to the VSM. Could include new process development, maturation and support for mature processes that have been handed back to the business.

+ Leads a functional and operations focused team and/or projects with varied levels resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Presents business solutions to leaders in functional area. Leads team to find creative solutions to address complex problems that impact the organization. Has ability to evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis.

+ Utilizes expertise and judgement to solve problems, leveraging skills and analytic thinking as required. Uses multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.

+ Communicates complex messages and negotiates mainly internally with others to adopt a different point of view and gain buy-in across the organization. Influences peers for support and may negotiate with external partners, vendors, or customers as required.

**Required Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of Supply Chain / Manufacturing experience)

+ Minimum of 5 years of Supply Chain / Manufacturing experience
