Job Description:

The foreman will be responsible for operating, supervising, directing and managing the paving crews on project with two other foreman. The foreman reports to the paving superintendent and is responsible for various tasks of concrete paving and should be highly organized, self-driven, and safety minded.

Responsibilities:

•Supervise and manage main line concrete paving crews consisting of operators, finishers, and labors for the paving operations.

•Responsible for producing the final surfaces meeting the depth, lines, grades, and cross sections required by the plans or as directed.

•Coordinates daily job site activities, job site organization, etc.

•Manage job site goals, timelines, and budgets with the paving superintendent.

•Assists with general laborer duties as needed, which may include shoveling, concrete forming and pouring, moving materials and other tasks as required.

•Perform daily pre-and-post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.

•Responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers in compliance with all company and OSHA regulations.

•Maintaining labor, equipment, maintenance, and materials records

Qualifications:

•4+ years’ experience as a construction/paving foreman or related construction job-site management experience, preferred.

•Proficient of safely and efficiently operating heavy equipment of various types, such as, Concrete Paver, Concrete Placer, Texture/Cure, Loaders, All-terrain forklifts, etc.

•Proficient at Monitoring, adjusting, and maintaining elevation and alignment on 3D equipped Concrete Paver/Belt Placer

•Candidate exercises extreme attention to detail while performing accurate work in accordance with the details, dimensions and intervals as shown on the plans.

•Demonstrates continuous effort to improve quality, operations and works efficiently, cooperatively, and jointly to provide a cost-effective quality product.

•Detail-oriented with the ability to process information quickly and accurately.

•Takes initiative and prioritizes tasks: organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.

•Dependable and able to work independently with little supervision as well as with a team of individuals.

•Assist in training less-experienced employees to further their abilities, as well as being an on the job training program trainer for the paving program.

•Enhanced training or certifications in safety and/or OSHA regulations, preferred.

•In-depth knowledge of construction practices and procedures.

•Capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment.

•Physical capabilities required are climbing, lifting, carrying a minimum of 75 lbs., standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, kneeling, squatting, and performing repetitive actions.

*Previous experience in Cement Concrete Paving Operations specifically with Stringless Paving and Gomaco/Wirtgen Paving Equipment. GPS (Trimble Experience).*
