BAE Systems in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Senior Principal RF Systems Engineer. This role will support the Airborne Tactical Radios Division within the Adaptive Communications and Sensing (AC&S) business. This business is the primary source of VHF/UHF SATCOM Tactical Radio (TR) equipment to the Army and USAF. The System Engineering team, based at Fort Wayne, is responsible for the Architecture, Specification, Development and Analysis of Mission Critical equipment in support of over the horizon mission communications. Some aspects of this work are classified.
Activities include;
+ Developing coherent product specifications from multiple disparate source documents
+ Performing analysis of signals in space, receivers and transmitters
+ Developing simulations and analyzing the performance/impact of fielded equipment
+ Managing the requirements baseline
+ Ensuring all requirements are met.
Responsibilities in this position are to plan, supervise the conduct of system/product performance analysis, requirements development, RF system/product architecture design, system/product development, system/product implementation and performance verification of various military ground and airborne communication products. The SME is also is responsible for the program s Earned Value including generation and presentation of the quarterly Estimate At Completion (EAC) of the assigned Systems Engineering domain efforts.

Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed fulltime on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ BS in Engineering or STEM related field
+ Minimum 10 years of experience in Systems Engineering.
+ Minimum 8 years leading Engineering teams.
+ Experience leading large teams (20 ) Engineers
+ Past experience as an Engineering manager, IPT Lead or Cross Functional Teams.
+ Primary Engineering customer interface for technical and programmatic
+ Experience with DO-170 or MIL-STD-461 and MIL-STD-464 EMI/EMC standards.
+ Experience with DO-160 or MIL-STD-810 Airborne Radio Environmental standards.
+ Lead design and qualification projects
+ Excellent communication and facilitation skills in dealing with management, technical staff, and internal / external organizations.
+ Active DOD Secret clearance
+ Fluent with requirements management utilizing DOORS
**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Current U.S. Security clearance
+ Applicable use of System Engineering tools including
+ Working knowledge of EVMS, IMS, & IMP tools for managing programs.
+ Strong team building and motivational skills.
+ Experience in dealing with government customers, management, and technical staff.
+ Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
+ MS in Engineering or related field
**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $120000 - $204000

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
