**Regional QA Specialist - Grafton, ND**

This is a salaried, exempt position.

**Position Summary:**

This position is a leadership role within the Edible Bean Food Safety and Quality team. The position provides proactive leadership in the development, implementation, execution, and performance of the Quality Systems to ensure products meet the quality and food safety standards.

**Position Responsibilities:**

+ Provides support and guidance for day to day decision making regarding quality/food safety impacts on products

+ Required to be flexible, providing quality and food safety support across projects and teams

+ Supports training activities regarding quality and food safety

+ Maintains the food safety plans, ensures control points are being handles per the program requirements, risk assessments are accurate and up to date as the lead PCQI coordinator at the facility

+ Manages, plans, implements, and continuously improves quality and food safety programs and procedures

+ Develops, implements and monitors quality verification programs within the processing plants

+ Owns GMP and ensures cleaning and hygiene programs are carried out

+ Conduct pre-operation inspection of equipment that has undergone maintenance and/or sanitation

+ Facilitates all Quality Management Review meetings

+ Holds the role of GFSI audit scheme leader

+ Leads compliance and regulatory audits.

+ Routinely conduct GMP, Food Safety Plan / HACCP, and GFSI (SQF) compliance inspections.

+ Works with scientists and leadership to ensure products meet quality and food safety standards and provides guidance as needed

+ Provides product disposition for products that do not meet Food Safety compliance

+ Establishes goals and monitors metrics that support Quality and Food Safety

+ Monitor inventory conditions with processing plants

+ Reports key performance indicators to the Divisional Quality Manager and Quality COE leadership teams.

+ Leads customer audits and other forms of customer communication requested from the processing plants

+ Support logging, management, and monitoring of customer complaints, ensuring consistency in proper categorization and process

+ Provide training/guidance to handle customer expectations with customer-centric mindset.

+ Participate in and lead, when necessary, customer facing meetings and events.

+ Participate/lead cross functional teams to resolve customer issues.

+ Lead root cause analysis and corrective action/preventative action plans in the event of a quality or food safety incident.

+ Provides quality training to new hires, contractors, and refresher training as needed and maintains training records.

**Position Qualifications:**

+ Preferred 4 year degree or equivalent 6 year Food Safety experience

+ Recommended PCQI trained

+ Working knowledge of document management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and other data bases.

+ Knowledge of applicable food regulations and requirements.

+ Ability to make decisions based on information and data available.

+ Ability to work as a team member and provide training.
