This position is based in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and you need to be willing to relocate to Puerto Rico or currently live in Puerto Rico to be considered.

YOU ARE:

A person who has lived and breathed engineering, construction, project management and project controls who likes to think big-picture and help find solutions. You have a solid working knowledge and experience in the engineering documentation and information management processes required to build and modernize physical assets, infrastructure, and buildings. You have experience and/or interests in digital solutions that can help clients do more. You are good with people and eager to learn new project and product solutions. You are comfortable supporting project leads during meetings and workshops, and able to support with material and content development.

THE WORK:

+ You’ll support a LUMA program to rebuild/repair all substations damaged in hurricane via FEMA Federal Funding.

+ You’ll support the Accenture Program Manager with management and oversight of substation stabilization projects of varying scopes ranging from transformer replacement to entire substation rebuilds.

+ You’ll coordinate and integrate activities across multiple functional lines and projects to ensure completion on time and within budget.

+ You’ll ensure siting and permitting, engineering, procurement, and construction milestones are met.

+ You’ll identify opportunities to shorten project schedules, reduce costs, and optimize resources to deliver exceptional value to clients.

+ You’ll manage all aspects of project performance, including scope, quality, schedule, and financial forecasting for complex and high-risk projects.

+ You’ll oversee finances, cost control, scheduling, environmental considerations, regulatory requirements, and stakeholder relationships.

+ You’ll review contractor invoices, schedules, and change orders for accuracy and completeness.

+ You’ll lead project presentations and provide routine status updates to the Program Manager and client leadership.

+ You’ll ensure your project team understands their responsibilities and is equipped to meet goals.

+ You’ll coach and lead team members in developing task plans, spending plans, and communication strategies.

HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

+ Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university

+ Minimum of 10 years of project management experience, including successful delivery of large electrical utility projects

+ Minimum of 5 years of experience with substation construction projects

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

+ Have PMP certification from the Project Management Institute or ability to obtain in 6 months

+ Experience managing Federally funded projects

+ Ability to coordinate work scope with multiple work groups or contractors

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, P6 or Microsoft Project

+ Demonstrated ability to think critically and analytically, apply sound judgement, and proactively prevent and solve problems

+ Strong time management, organizational, and communication skills in fast-paced environments internally and externally
