**Strategy & Transactions – Transaction Analytics Manager**

**The Opportunity**

As a Transaction Analytics Manager, you will lead teams in delivering business, financial, and commercial insights for clients involved in M&A transactions, corporate strategy, and private equity. You’ll leverage your expertise in data extraction, transformation, modeling, visualization, and data analysis technologies to help clients make data-driven decisions. This role offers the chance to combine technical skills with business acumen, working with advanced tools like Alteryx, SQL, Python, Excel, and Power BI. You will also mentor junior team members and present findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

**Key Responsibilities**

+ Lead data analytics projects to advise clients on financial and commercial issues, M&A transactions, and value creation opportunities for corporate clients and private equity portfolio companies.

+ Guide teams in executing descriptive and predictive analytics, transforming data into actionable insights.

+ Contribute to practice development and business growth through client meetings, presentations, and new business pursuits.

+ Support the career development of junior staff through mentorship.

+ Drive innovation by applying advanced analytical techniques and staying updated on sector trends.

+ Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing strategic insights and solutions.

**To Qualify**

+ Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field, with 5+ years of relevant experience (or a graduate degree with 4+ years of experience).

+ Strong analytical skills with experience in data wrangling, transformation, and analysis (both descriptive and predictive).

+ Proficiency in relational databases and data models.

+ Experience in diverse industries (e.g., TMT, Healthcare, Retail) and functional areas (e.g., corporate finance, supply chain).

+ Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex data to varied audiences.

+ Flexibility and willingness to travel.

**Ideally, You’ll Also Have**

+ Master’s degree, CPA, or CFA preferred.

+ M&A experience and financial statement analysis.

+ Experience with advanced analytical methods (e.g., statistical pricing studies, customer lifetime value, customer retention).

+ Familiarity with analytics tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI, Python, SQL).

+ Interest in working with alternative data to analyze competitive positioning.

**What we offer**

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $119,200 to $218,500. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $143,100 to $248,400. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
