ICBM Propulsion Systems Mechanical Engineer

**Job Description**

BAE Systems is seeking an **entry level** **mechanical engineer** to join the ICBM Minuteman III team, with a concentration in propulsion/battery systems.

Duties include but are not limited to:

+ Perform systems engineering and integration duties, logistical analysis, test and assessment, and other relevant engineering efforts required to support mature and proven weapon systems.

+ Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, propulsion rocket engines, and solid stage motors.

+ Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Must have an ABET Accredited Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar. Candidates graduating in or prior to May 2025 will be considered.

+ 0 - 2 years industry or military experience.

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ ICBM experience, especially Minuteman III specific: Reentry, Guidance and Navigation, Inertial Measurement, Propulsion, Ordnance, and/or battery technology experience.

+ ICBM Field Maintenance

+ Depot Repair

+ Risk management

+ Configuration management

+ Logistical Analysis

+ Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

+ Familiarity with systems engineering processes

+ Familiarity with technical data packages

+ Experience in modeling and/or simulation software

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $50580 - $85950

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
