**Job Description**
BAE Systems is seeking candidates for part-time Spring 2025 internship positions supporting all aspects of engineering services work from our Utah offices. At BAE Systems, we deliver a full range of products and services for air, land, and naval forces, as well as advanced electronics, security, information technology solutions, and customer support services.
Opportunities exist supporting a variety of efforts in engineering design, development, and integration for facility, machine, and plant operation programs at BAE Systems.
Roles and Responsibilities may include:
+ Provide engineering support to further the research, design, development and selection of hardware components for a variety of engineering projects.
+ Utilize fundamental engineering principles, theories, and techniques to develop new ideas and engineering solutions for our customers.
+ Perform engineering calculations, analyses, and interpret data for investigation with senior engineering personnel.
+ Assist in the design, fabrication or testing of prototype hardware
+ Document technical results and assist senior engineering personnel
+ Support assemblers, technicians and inspectors for manufacturing issues on new and existing products.
+ Other duties and responsibilities as required.

Tell me about this job. Most internships will be hired under a part-time basis with a minimum target of 10 hours per week for a six-month period with option to extend thereafter. The position will offer flexibility to your school schedule and will be negotiated during the onboarding process, with the opportunity for follow-on adjustments to support your lifestyle. You will be using your learned engineering skills to assist one of our program areas and begin your training to become a subject matter expert and adviser to defense industry contracts.
This is a paid position, and internships often lead to full-time job offers in the program.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**
+ Must be currently enrolled in a program pursuing a B.S. or higher in one of the following majors: Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar
+ Must be a US Citizen
+ Developing skills in Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and Building information modeling (BIM)
+ Must be willing to work onsite on Hill AFB, UT

+ Motivated self-starter with leadership potential and ability to work effectively in a team environment
+ Excellent problem-solving skills, judgment, and analytical capability
+ Ability to close on discrete tasking in a timely manner
+ Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills
+ Current or past security clearance

**Pay Information**
Full-Time Salary Range: $46800 - $63180
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan. Temporary employees working 20 hours per week are eligible for medical benefits, the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
