Northrop Grumman Financial Shared Services is seeking an **Accountant** , reporting to the Manager, Accounting Analytics and Optimization. Specifically, we are seeking a team member to assist in the organization’s responsibilities related to Labor Accounting and Chart of Accounts.
This position may be located in Irving, Texas (preferred); Redondo Beach, California; Falls Church, VA; or Bloomington, MN.
**Candidates must be willing to work within one of these locations for a minimum of two days per week.** **There is no opportunity for a full-time telecommuting arrangement in this role.**
**Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:**
+ **General Accounting Responsibilities**
+ Apply principles of accounting to analyze financial information and prepare accounting/financial reports
+ Compile and analyze financial information to record transactions, prepare reports, and review and verify accuracy
+ Prepare accounting schedules and reports
+ Assist in the design, modification, installation, and/or maintenance of accounting systems
+ Adhere to and communicate accounting policies and procedures
+ **Labor Accounting Responsibilities**
+ Act as liaison to the Payroll/Timekeeping department to ensure labor accounting accuracy
+ Partner with the ERP Timekeeping & Labor group to resolve issues, system maintenance, and process improvements
+ Assist customers with labor accounting issue resolution and oversee the timely processing of labor suspense, transfers, adjustments, and batch error corrections
+ Review and report daily batch error processing of CATS (cross- application time sheets)/Labor adjustment processing
+ Review the accuracy and data integrity of the primary and secondary labor cost elements to confirm correct reporting for sectors' financial statements, related schedules, and operating reports
+ Monitor missing payroll postings and report weekly
+ Responsible for the adherence to and communication of labor accounting and auditing policies and procedures and serve as point of contact for internal and external audits
+ Interact with internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring collaboration between organizations
+ Review and approve regression tests for accounting postings related to conversion and system enhancements
+ Work directly with sector POCs to analyze and make corrections to clean up incorrect postings
+ Participate in the requirement/solution development and testing for S/4 SAP and the payroll & timekeeping system upgrades
+ Assist with input and design of the online labor transfer forms in Service Now
+ Provide input and support in companywide reorganization efforts

**Qualifications:**
+ **Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline with two years of professional experience** (Or zero (0) years of professional experience with a master’s degree) =

**Salary Range:** $61,000 - $91,600
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
