Security Shift Supervisor (On Call) - T-Mobile Arena

**PRIMARY PURPOSE:**

As an On-Call Security & Safety Supervisor, you will be responsible for the safety and security of guests.

**PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**

+ Patrol and monitor areas of Corporate Entertainment venues and identify safety risks or OSHA violations; manage security vendors to ensure their employees are following proper security and screening procedures

+ Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees by maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor

+ Act as a dispatcher to relay information, messages and or emergencies to or from appropriate personnel and act as a first responder in emergency situations

+ Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and proper egress flow; interact effectively and calmly with irritated or emotional guests and employees

+ Protect the integrity of premium areas by ensuring all guests have proper tickets or credentials; provide accurate directions to various venue amenities, suites, hospitality locations, and transport guests safely who request wheelchair escort services from one location to another, ensure ADA compliance in designated areas/seating

+ Write reports of daily activities and irregularities regarding safety, security and risk, monitor alarm system and surveillance

+ Resolve escalated security situations, provide appropriate warnings and complete ejections/arrests if warranted/necessary; ensure enforcement and compliance of the venue’s Event Policies at all times and assist with directional and informational inquiries, serve as escalation point for complaints/issues

+ Appropriately document all major/minor incidents and apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems in order to successfully perform and direct varied & complex tasks

+ Perform a variety of duties often changing from one task to another of a different nature without the loss of efficiency or composure

**MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ One (1) year of equivalent experience

+ Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays

**KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:**

+ Ability to lead evacuation procedures for guests and employees during an emergency

+ Ability to learn, demonstrate proficiency and effectively use security system platforms

+ Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms

+ Ability to communicate effectively, concisely and logically in a timely manner and at an appropriate level, while maintaining confidentiality

+ Ability to work under pressure

+ Ability to multi-task and work well in a fast paced, team-oriented environment

+ Proficiency of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment, i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine

+ Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
