**Clinical Lab Scientist - Microbiology**

Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and experienced **Clinical Lab Scientist** to join our dynamic team in the Microbiology department. We are committed to providing high-quality patient care and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

**Responsibilities**
+ Perform a wide range of microbiological procedures, including:
+ Bacterial culture and identification
+ Antimicrobial susceptibility testing
+ Mycology and parasitology testing
+ Molecular diagnostics
+ Blood cultures
+ Quality control and instrument maintenance
+ Analyze and interpret laboratory results, ensuring accuracy and timely reporting.
+ Maintain accurate and complete documentation of all procedures and results.
+ Collaborate with other laboratory staff and healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
+ Participate in departmental quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
+ Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols.
**Qualifications**
+ BA/BS degree required.
+ Continuing education lectures and courses to keep knowledge current as required.
+ Must have experience reading different culture types and setting up cultures traditional and molecular-based.
+ Required training in
+ Hematology
+ Chemistry
+ Blood Bank
+ Microbiology
+ Immunology and Serology as applicable.
+ California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License or Limited California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License
+ California Clinical Immunohematologist Scientist License
+ California Clinical Microbiologist Scientist Licenses are required and ASCP registry is preferred.
+ LA Fire card is required. (Must obtain within 90 days of hire date. Classes offered at the hospital)
**Pay Range**
$49.10 - $71.19 /hour
