We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced US Reimbursement Consultant who shares our passion to expand access to innovative therapies for diabetes patients. In this role, you will report to the US Market Access Director and play a key role in establishing and implementing coding and reimbursement strategies for our portfolio of diabetes technologies. As **Reimbursement Consultant** , you will work with a wide set of internal and external stakeholders to plan and implement coding and access strategies to gain coverage and reimbursement for our life-changing therapies. **A Day in A Life:**

+ Develops and implements reimbursement strategies and programs to obtain coverage, coding and payment from payer/providers

+ Provides reimbursement-related advice to product development teams, marketing, sales, regulatory, clinical and business leaders

+ Creates and executes comprehensive market access strategies through the integration of reimbursement, pricing, health technology assessment, evidence-based medicine review, and health economic data

+ Engages with societies and other advocacy organizations to shape favorable healthcare policies and expand access to innovation

+ Identifies payer opportunities and issues with input from the field team and develops programs to resolve/decrease barriers to entry for the company's products or therapies

+ Designs, develops and implements an integrated approach to all aspects of the payer value proposition from early development through market maturity to transition to newer, more beneficial therapies

+ Works closely with Health Economics and Outcomes Research staff to evaluate the economic impact of the use of therapies/ products on all payer types

+ May create training and deliver education programs to sales force, physicians, medical directors, billing personnel, distributors, and other external stakeholders

+ Monitors the evolving landscape including payers, HTA, reimbursement influencers and other decision makers to ensure the continuous changing reimbursement systems remain fair to all involved parties.

+ Engages in both US and OUS reimbursement planning activities, with strategies spanning durable medical equipment, pharmacy, physician, and other payment systems as required

**Must Have: Minimum Requirements: To be considered for this role, please ensure the minimum requirements are evident on your resume:**

+ Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 10 years experience in health policy, reimbursement, health economics, health services research, or other field with direct relevance to the role, OR

+ Advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years prior experience in health policy, reimbursement, health economics, health services research, or other field with direct relevance to the role

+ Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of U.S. healthcare reimbursement mechanisms (Medicare and commercial payment systems, third-party payer coverage, clinical and procedural coding) and regulations related to medical technology products

+ Direct experience securing new coding and establishing coverage/payment for new technology

In addition to Base Salary, this position is eligible for a short-term incentive plan, which provides the opportunity to earn significant incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding your goals. The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico and certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
