Risk Management supports our people in managing the risks that arise during our daily working lives. We work closely with all parts of the organization to identify, manage and monitor risk, providing coordinated advice and assistance on independence, conflicts, compliance, regulatory, policy, security issues, as well as dealing with claims and any queries regarding ethics.

As a Risk Management Research and Data Associate, working within our Global Independence System, you’ll make educated, thoughtful decisions on Risk Management. Our brand depends on it. **Your key responsibilities**

You’ll be the initial point of contact for our client teams. You’ll provide research and analysis across a variety of functional areas. You’ll interpret Quality & Risk Management (Q&RM) policies, determining required actions and making recommendations based on firm guidance. In addition, you’ll analyze issues and produce deliverables to document the diligence with which such tasks were performed, as the work product for these individuals is subject to review and scrutiny by outside regulators.

**Skills and attributes for success**

+ Use knowledge gained from in-depth client service or infrastructure experience to resolve Independence policy and procedure issues, violations and concerns

+ Manages client relationships so that expectations are met or exceeded by advising what to expect and by when, and through listening and responding to client needs

+ Understands key requirements of regulators’ independence rules and firm policies and is knowledgeable about risk management areas outside of independence

+ Identifies emerging risks and proposes solutions to address these

**To qualify for the role you must have**

+ Strong research, data analysis and communications skills

+ Experience working with large data sets

+ Experience in project management

+ Strong problem-solving skills

+ Ability to be flexible and take initiative

+ Strong organizational skills

+ Ability to successfully handle multiple tasks

+ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and technology savvy

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills

+ A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

+ 1 plus years related experience

**Ideally, you’ll have**

+ An understanding of independence rules and policies and key requirements of the firm and regulators

+ Ability to perform initial reviews of submissions from client teams and evaluates completeness, accuracy and appropriateness of proposed transaction/requests

**What we offer**

We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package where you’ll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to the business. The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $49,100 to $89,000. The salary range for New York City Metro Area, Washington State and California (excluding Sacramento) is $58,900 to $101,200. Individual salaries within those ranges are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills and geography. In addition, our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and a wide range of paid time off options. Join us in our team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Our expectation is for most people in external, client serving roles to work together in person 40-60% of the time over the course of an engagement, project or year. Under our flexible vacation policy, you’ll decide how much vacation time you need based on your own personal circumstances. You’ll also be granted time off for designated EY Paid Holidays, Winter/Summer breaks, Personal/Family Care, and other leaves of absence when needed to support your physical, financial, and emotional well-being.
