**Job Summary:**
The Manager IT leads HealthIT support resources for regional hospitals (VWCH, VTHH, and VBCH, including HODs). The position will directly supervise 5 FTEs who support over 2,000 providers and staff members in their efficient use of the EMR and associated workflows/applications such as Dragon voice dictation. The manager position will lead the team FTEs and prioritize operational work. The manager will lead change management and support efforts for institutional efforts including the Masimo patient monitoring rollout, regular Epic upgrades, Vandy Notes template builds, and Dragon Ambient AI documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Managing IT staff by recruiting and training employees, communicating job expectations, assigning projects/tasks, and monitoring performance.
• Ensures staff alignment with mission and strategic plan
• Ensures staff compliance with budgets, resource allocation, operational plans, and policies.
• Ensures that projects stay on track and regularly communicates status to department leadership and business/operational leaders.
• Regularly review/implement advances in technology and industry best practices.
• Assists with preparation of operating and capital budgets following established guidelines and using benchmark data.
