Northrop Grumman is seeking a **Sr. Staff Chief Engineer** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be in **Oklahoma City, OK** where the Major Components & Spares (MC&S) business area team reside. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Defense Systems Sector.

The technical lead for all aspects of engineering on all MC&S build-to-print program elements (systems/manufacturing/support/test) and coordinates a multi-disciplined engineering team overseeing the technical performance of the program. Coordinates technical data package development and collection, hardware/software design, manufacturing, material review, and verification activities. Ensures that the program is adhering to sound engineering processes and program specifications in the development, production, test, and sustainment of composite-based products for our customers and is compliance with company policies, procedures, and quality standards. Maintains cognizance over technical activities within MC&S programs and ensures horizontal integration of the best engineering practices across the company. Continually coordinates with the engineering and program leaders in the execution of program statement of work and serves as the technical point of contact with the customer.

**Responsibilities**

+ Lead engineer and technical interface for NGDS Major Components & Spares programs

+ Lead the development and collaboration of technical solutions to meet customer requirements aligned with contractual requirements, program specifications, and internal NG Systems Engineering practices

+ Work closely with internal and external customers and stakeholders to achieve program technical objectives

+ Performing mentorship and knowledge transfer to increase technical depth of expertise with program-supporting engineers

+ Support technical organic product-line growth and development while maintaining customer relationships

+ Utilize Northrop Grumman Corporation Quality Management System to achieve compliance and maintain certifications for AS9100

**Basic Qualifications**

+ Must have a Bachelor degree in engineering or related scientific field with at least 14 years of experience, Masters degree with 12 years of experience, or PhD with 9 years of experience in development, operations, production, and/or manufacturing, with associated technical accomplishments

+ Experience with production control and manufacturing processes including the criteria development and execution of Production Readiness Reviews

+ Lean manufacturing and process improvement implementation experience

+ Experience in material fabrication and production line operations

+ Experience and knowledge of drawing standards and technical drawing reviews

+ Experience with composite materials

+ Experience with the development of manufacturing tooling

+ Experience with Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI) testing and processes

+ Knowledge of product development life cycle and interactions among engineering disciplines

+ Must be a US Citizen with current Active Secret Clearance

**Preferred Qualifications**

+ Master's degree or higher in engineering or related scientific discipline

+ Experience working in Classified Systems and Environments

+ Experience with 3-D modeling

**Salary Range:** $149,800 - $224,800

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
