**Description**

**Leidos** has an open Lead Agile Software Engineer position supporting the Mission Planning and Analysis Common Services (MPACS) contract. As an **MPACS Lead Agile Software Engineer** , youare an integral part of a team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way to support USSTRATCOM’s mission objectives. In this role, you will lead multiple Agile development teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance capability, reduce sustainment costs, and provide the flexibility to adapt quickly to evolving customer needs. You will be responsible for understanding high-level features and desired outcomes, both current and future, and assisting Agile teams in building, analyzing, and understanding these outcomes. You will oversee the application-level outcomes, prioritize them, and maintain a roadmap of capability improvements in collaboration with the Government. Your expertise in formulating software designs will be essential in creating solutions that meet various desired outcomes while balancing goals and constraints such as customer environment, cybersecurity, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD). Effective communication of the software architecture to both Government and Agile teams with varying levels of technical understanding is critical. You will verify implementations to ensure the delivered software aligns with the agreed architecture and meets the desired outcomes. Additionally, you will manage changes to the software architecture, control software complexity, and ensure that design goals such as performance, modularity, reliability, maintainability, reusability, and accessibility are met. Your leadership will extend to conducting design reviews, providing feedback, and ensuring that the backlog addresses any quality issues and technical debt related to architecture. Identifying software risks early in the development cycle and providing a documented basis for architectural decisions will also be key responsibilities.
