As a Laboratory Analyst, you are responsible to perform routine, usually basic laboratory testing and maintenance of laboratory equipment or systems. You will work in a manufacturing laboratory environment that stays in sync with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP). You will be required to collect, label, analyze and record results related to raw materials, intermediate products, finished goods, packaging materials and other samples. Documentation, trend analysis, and other Quality Control (QC) related responsibilities will be performed.
Meaningful work on Day 1
You will perform routine instrument maintenance and calibration as needed during analytical work. We use discernment based on knowledge and experience as to the accuracy and reliability of analytical results. You may sample and label materials as needed according to written procedures or specific instructions, inspect empty bulk trucks prior to loading, and inspect appearance of raw materials during unloading as needed. Another responsibility will include coordinating the work with the Production Lead on night and weekend shifts to ensure appropriate prioritization of work.
Overview
In this position, you will focus on the daily lab operations and execution of testing to support manufacturing operations /validation/ or development studies. Testing may include samples from API products, manufacturing, stability, and various protocol studies using approved test methods or test methods derived from QC technical protocols. This is a full onsite position and will report to the QC Manager.
Responsibilities
+ Performing raw material, finished goods, intermediate, and development sample analysis according to standard analytical procedures, such as WIP/Bulk, stability testing and experimental or protocol related materials
+ Perform routine instrument maintenance and calibration as needed during analytical work
+ Conduct limited instrument troubleshooting and problem diagnosis
+ Observe and identify problems with results and report to your supervisor
+ Conduct analytical method development work with direct supervision and mentorship from the Lab Leaders or other staff members
+ Others chemistry lab activities are required which may include but not limited to less complex instruments/maintenance/calibration/ownership, training, SOP revision and creation such as HPLC, FTIR, GC, CompuTrac and many others
Job Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you must have the appropriate Chemistry or Microbiology skills and capability
+ Bachelor's degree in science, Biology, or related field
+ 1+ year experience in a GMP (Good Manufacturing Processes) QC Analytical environment preferred
+ Able to work flexible shifts as required by business need
+ Must be able to develop and demonstrate the skills to perform the essential functions of the job as described
