**Job Description:**
The Test Automation team is part of the Data, Infrastructure & Strategic Initiatives organization that provides foundational capabilities for Enterprise Independent Testing (EIT), which is the center of excellence that conducts independent testing globally across the company. EIT has established itself as the enterprise utility to test all end-to-end processes on behalf of Second Line of Defense, Frontline Units (FLUs) and Control Functions (CFs), enabling more efficient and effective testing. EIT is transforming the way testing is built and executed with digital transformation, implementing automation and leveraging cutting edge Artificial Intelligence/Natural Language Processing technologies. EIT carries a portfolio of 8,000+ tests and has a global footprint of testing professionals across the United States, Europe, Asia and Latin America as well as Global Business Services (GBS) associates.
The Test Automation team is responsible for developing Regulatory Risk and Compliance testing Automation. Senior Automation Lead will be required to understand test requirements and data flows for complex process and implement corresponding tests in Python. As part of the implementation, the focus will be on the development of modular, re-usable testing algorithms and leveraging machine learning techniques to enable data driven test population identification.
**Role Overview:**
As a Senior Automation Lead, main responsibilities will involve:
+ Developing testing automation that provide timely, useful, and actionable independent insight on the operational health of Bank of America’s processes.
+ Work closely with process owners in the Front-Line Units and Control Functions (FLUs/CFs) to obtain an understanding of their processes, including underlying data, flows, and controls, and to identify risks to successful execution, so that appropriate testing and monitoring can be developed.
+ The Senior Automation lead will be responsible for documenting the test requirement and convert the test requirements into automated tests via Python and SQL. They will also be leveraging machine learning techniques to enable data driven testing approaches.
+ Managing oversight of implementation designs and codebase and supervise the work of Automation Specialists, and perform peer review of the code
+ Designing a utility for migration of codebase from Legacy tooling to Python and leverage SDLC/Agile development, understand Coding standards and best practices.
+ Working with Process Owners, Data Provides and App managers to understand more complex test cases and create bespoke automation solution
**Required Education & Experience:**
+ Bachelor’s degrees or above in fields including but not limited to: Data Science, Business Analytics, Business Management, Mathematics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or related subjects
+ 5+ years of relevant work experience

**Technical Skills:**
+ Strong Programming skills via Python and SQL and possibly other languages.
+ Experience with Software Development Lifecycle principles.
+ Experience building data architecture that is optimized for large dataset retrieval, analysis, storage, cleansing, andtransformation.
+ Experience with different types of testing including unit, integration, regression and performance testing.
+ Experience using object oriented and functional programming to solve business problems.
+ Experience in optimizing implementations for performance.
+ Experience in performing thorough code reviews and guiding junior developers.
**Desired Skills**
+ Experience managing large codebases.
+ Experience automating processes working with various types of data including structured data in relational databases and Hadoop as well as various types ofunstructured/semi-structureddata (messaging payloads, documents, etc.).
+ Experience in Bitbucket, GIT, Quartz (internal candidate only), Jenkins, Ansible, SQL, Spark, Hadoop.
+ Experience automating testing of code.
+ Experience with container-based applications.
+ Experience how to build scalable solutions which efficiently use hardware across multiple different platforms.
+ Experience handling large amounts of data and how to efficiently parallelize calculations using spark and dask.
