Essential Job Duties:
This position is responsible for supporting the course schedule and registration processes for undergraduate and graduate programs, and providing administrative support for various college programs. Additionally, the scheduling temp will respond to course enrollment-related student communication. The successful candidate will have experience with course scheduling, registration systems, and/or academic advising. The scheduling temp must also stay current on university policies and procedures and translate their impact for the college.
Other Work/Responsibilities:
+ Support development of semester course calendar
+ Manage semester course calendar/schedule – set timeline and deadlines, create necessary documents, implement communication strategies regarding scheduling, etc.
+ Communicate with Department Heads, Area Coordinators, the Assistant Deans , and Directors of Programs concerning course needs and scheduling deadlines.
+ Enter, and proof schedules and course attributes for undergraduate and graduate courses and make corrections and suggestions as needed.
+ Work with the Scheduling Office to find classrooms and troubleshoot other scheduling issues.
+ Implement and communicate registration restrictions to ensure the correct students are able to enroll
+ Support course registration processes
+ Provide assistance with registration issues for both undergraduate and graduate students
+ Communicate registration policies through generic registration email account and enrollment webpages
+ Register students in practicums, internship courses, independent studies, etc.
+ Assist with registration of special student groups such as Global programs and incoming first-year and transfer students
+ Support the MBA Petition to Add process
Required Qualifications:
+ Four-year degree or equivalent required
+ One year of relevant work experience at a college or university required
+ Previous experience with student information, enrollment registration, and/or course management systems required
+ Attention to detail is a must
+ Team oriented work style, but must also be able to work independently and take initiative
+ Ability to multi-task and manage a variety of competing priorities and timelines
+ Must be customer-service oriented with the capability to interface with a variety of constituents to include faculty and staff within the college as well as across campus
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience with SIS , excel, or google sheets is preferred
