Industry Advisor, Media & Entertainment (Americas)

Microsoft’s Media & Entertainment Industry Team focuses on empowering customers on their digital journey.  This team is responsible for envisioning new possibilities for our customers, delivering solutions that result in targeted business outcomes and driving revenue growth for Microsoft.

As an **Industry Advisor, Media & Entertainment (Americas)** , you will have the opportunity to drive industry-focused sales for Microsoft. This role is responsible for originating sales and driving industry-led conversations with customers.  Accountabilities include developing and winning market-making opportunities that deliver customer value and enabling transformational customer outcomes. As an Industry Advisor you will be an Industry dedicated advisor in digital business transformation, engaging with decision makers to identify, generate and nurture new business opportunities. You will articulate and position strategic business value and long-term positive results of using Microsoft's products, partners and solutions, collaborating with your peers to successfully closing deals.

**Responsibilities**

+ Work with a sales and customer focus, in partnership with the field team.

+ Bring industry experience and partner expertise to accelerate the sales process.  

+ Create momentum for Microsoft by defining and landing worldwide industry strategies in assigned accounts. 

+ Provide innovation on broad global industry trends to activate and evangelize industry strategy and Go to Market (GTM) into assigned accounts.​

+ Leverage relationships with targeted Business Development Managers (BDMs) and Account teams to mature assigned accounts to secure net new revenue.​

+ Help land Market Making Business Partnerships-strengthen relationships with C-level execs in accounts.

+ Change the vector of the account & build mindshare and credibility for Microsoft.​

+ Generate net new qualified pipeline/ revenue at assigned accounts and own customer outcomes across the Microsoft Customer Engagement Methodology (MCEM) lifecycle with focus on Account Planning / Listen and Consult / Inspire and Design (early MCEM stages).  ​

+ Accelerate the growth of our Solution Areas and Solutions Plays by Industry.

+ Identify new trends and innovate new repeatable Industry solution plays.​

+ Amplify external/internal thought leadership focused on advancing our Repeatable Solutions for Industry to bring value to our customers.

**Required/Minimum Qualifications**

+ Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Media, Gaming or related field (Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Supply Chain, Education, Business) AND 3+ years internship, apprenticeship, or work experience in operations, enterprise-level improvement program management, product management, transportation, hospitality, automotive, consumer goods, financial services, retail, management consulting, consultative selling, public sector, technology or industry relevant equivalent management or technical work experience

+ OR Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Supply Chain, Education, Business or related field AND 2+ years internship, apprenticeship, or work experience in operations, enterprise-level improvement program management, product management, transportation, hospitality, automotive, consumer goods, financial services, retail, management consulting, consultative selling, public sector, technology or industry relevant equivalent management or technical work experience

+ OR equivalent experience.

**Additional or Preferred Qualifications**

Industry Advisory IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,300 - $146,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $111,700 - $161,700 per year.
