The Monetization and Business Planning (M+BP) team is responsible for monetization strategy, pricing, and packaging for the multi-billion-dollar Microsoft Cloud products portfolio. To deliver on this broad charter, we’ve built a center of excellence with an industry-leading reputation for strategic thought leadership. This role is within the Modern Work Business Planning team which is responsible for monetization of the Microsoft 365 family of products. More specifically, the role will focus on driving monetization of the Microsoft 365 portfolio in Emerging Markets. Emerging Markets represent a significant growth opportunity for Microsoft. While there is substantial untapped Target Addressable Market in the core productivity space, the AI-first productivity solution space is even more fragmented and nascent. This role is a unique opportunity to develop the monetization strategy to help drive the core Microsoft 365 business while also defining the future of our Copilot and AI-first offers for this audience.

**Responsibilities**
• Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, product marketing, finance, sales, and others, to drive monetization strategy, pricing decisions, and packaging constructs for products for Emerging Markets
• Conduct market research to understand competitive dynamics, customer segmentation, and customer willingness to pay to help define optimal business models
• Propose pricing changes and discounting guidance to improve the profitability of offers and address varying market needs
• Partner with commerce and launch teams to launch new products across our Go-to-Market channels
• Develop your expertise and eventually serve as an internal subject matter expert on all things Emerging Markets

**Qualifications**
Required/Minimum Qualifications
+ 5+ years of relevant work experience in pricing, corporate strategy, technology product management, management consulting, technology product finance, or equivalent practical or functional experience, or related experience
+ OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
+ 8+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience in pricing, corporate strategy, technology product management, management consulting, technology product finance, or equivalent practical or functional experience AND Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Computer Science, Economics, Business, or related field
+ **OR** **6+ years product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience AND** **Master's Degree in Business Administration** **(MBA), or related field**
+ **OR** **equivalent** **experience.**
• Excellent communicator who can adapt your style and message across various stakeholders and levels, including marketing and engineering executives, customers, and partners
• Demonstrated strategic framing skills to create alignment between engineering, product marketing, and business owners
• Excellent problem-solver who can see the big picture and possess deep analytical skills, including the ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to make data-driven decisions
• Consistently deliver results and demonstrate good judgment, personal accountability, and high integrity
Business Planning IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $103,800 - $200,300 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $133,700 - $219,200 per year.
