The Corporate Services Finance team provides key insights that help corporate business partners at Microsoft make better financial and business decisions. We are looking for a Senior Finance Manager, Operations Resource Allocation, to partner with Finance and Operations teams and leaders to support the orchestration and consolidation of resources across the new Operations leadership team.
This role covers a wide range of responsibilities, which includes various modeling and business analysis, finance partnership, and the creation and ownership of efficient financial processes. You will operate as a motivated and agile system thinker who can demonstrate intellectual curiosity, as well as navigate ambiguity and complexity to be the trusted finance advisor to our finance leaders and drive success for our business partners.

**Responsibilities**
+ Business and Finance Partnership: Give visibility to the business and finance leadership to the current resource landscape, identify and recommend levers to drive operational leverage through resource prioritization and allocation.
+ Resource Modeling and Reporting: Owns, maintains, and improves resource modeling and analytics. Leverage holistic analytical framework and optimal practices across Finance to spot and anticipate trends and deliver insights to unlock greater efficiencies for resource allocation and investment spend. Automates and improves reporting processes as much as possible within the confines of available tools.
+ Business Health: Drive process excellence while partnering across Operations and Finance to continuously assess the overall health of the business and understand key drivers to identify opportunities, risks, and trade-offs. Ensure resources and investments are constantly aligned with business strategy, product engineering roadmaps, and company priorities.
+ Resource Investment Analysis: Builds a cohesive story by incorporating business insights through resource allocation and workforce planning, as well as understanding the connection between resource allocation with the overall financial performance. Analyzes results to understand performance against plan/forecast, monitors trends and key levers to support various rhythm of the business and finance. Delivers resource reviews with Finance leaders, clearly communicating results and recommendations.
+ Headcount Benchmarking: Operationalize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to headcount efficiency and proactively recommend a course of action where needed.

**Qualifications**
Required/Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
+ OR Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 2+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field
+ OR equivalent experience.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership or Finance work experience
+ OR Masters Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience
+ OR equivalent experience.
+ 1+ year(s) experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.
+ 1+ year(s) work experience in matrix-based organization.
+ 1+ year(s) work experience in the technology or software industry.
+ Proven data and financial modeling capabilities, scenario analysis and ability to work with financial systems.
+ Ability to communicate complex analysis in a simple way, including to executive level audiences.
+ Self-starter with the ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines, exhibit attention to detail, quickly prioritize for impact and the resourcefulness to deliver data driven insights.
+ Interpersonal and cross group collaboration skills.
+ Ability to influence and impact without authority, operate in ambiguity, and solve difficult problems.
+ Ability to prioritize and function well in a dynamic and matrixed environment.
Financial Analysis IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $94,600 - $183,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $122,000 - $200,500 per year.
