As an Occupational Health Nurse, your primary responsibility will be providing comprehensive health and wellness services to the 110+ employees of the Sacramento, CA Chemical Plant in alignment with established Global Medical Priorities, Health System Key Elements, and North America Medical and site-specific objectives, goals, strategies, and measures.

You will play a key role in collaborating with other team members to provide site health and safety needs for the Chemical Plant. You will support site assessment audits, site risk analysis, and occupational health management plans to support the Vibrant Living Health Center (health services). In addition, you will own delivering comprehensive nursing care including prompt medical emergency response, prevention, treatment and follow-up for occupational injuries/illnesses, and referrals and work as a liaison to Sedgwick CMS, our 3rd Party company for personal disability cases and Workers Compensation cases.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Coordinate the care of ill and injured workers, including return to work assessment and fit for duty evaluation.

+ Partner with HR on Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and American Disabilities Act (ADA) Interactive Process for site employees.

+ Review new hire post-offer health questionnaires and baseline medical evaluations for medical clearance.

+ Work with third party vendors to facilitate Vibrant Living Health Center (health services) programs and resources based on business needs.

+ Develop, interpret, and administer medical testing programs if needed.

+ Ensure compliance with health aspects and medical testing requirements of TSCA, SARA, OSHA, NIOSH, P&G Medical and Health & Safety standards.

+ Attain/maintain current knowledge of the site risks/hazards including chemical, biological, and physical and participate in reviews and overall risk assessments.

+ Provide Health Coaching that optimizes the employee's health and well-being by reviewing screening tests, health and well-being education, and follow-up.

+ Be an integral part of the overall HR team.

+ Proactively work on a vibrant living culture to improve the health and wellbeing of employees, through championing wellness programs offered by the company and recommended by the site.

Builds and maintains site Health Systems capability through continual assessment of business needs and use of the Health Systems Key Elements audit tool and process to ensure delivery of quality care and services. Collaborates with site leadership and key partners (HS&E, HR, Legal, etc.) to ensure appropriate site occupational and wellbeing programs are in place to align with business objectives, mitigate risks and preserve and promote employee wellbeing. Ensures all programs are compliant with country related laws, as well as P&G medical testing requirements and governance.

Job Qualifications

+ B.S. Nursing Degree

+ Either a California RN Nursing License or the ability to obtain endorsement (reciprocity) into California as an RN. For endorsement you must hold a current and active RN license in another state, completed an educational program in your state that meets all California requirements, and have passed the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN®) or the State Board Test Pool Examination (SBTPE) in your state.

PREFERRED WORK EXPERIENCE OR CERTIFICATIONS:

+ Occupational Health, Employee Health, or Emergency Department

+ COHN or COHN-S

+ Case Management Experience

+ NIOSH approved Spirometry and CAOHC approved Audiometry certification or ability to receive such certifications.

+ Adult CPR/AED certification.

+ Adult CPR Instructor Certification or ability to become certified as trainer.

+ Knowledge of State and Federal Laws and Regulations

JUST SO YOU KNOW:

+ Ability to attend meetings, trainings and conferences that may require travel.

+ Must be flexible to meet the needs of the business with occasional work such as taking calls off normal shift hours.
