Human Resources Director - Hybrid

We are seeking a skilled and experienced HR Director to join our team. This is a crucial, generalist role that manages various HR functions and provides support to both employees and management. This role requires a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle a wide range of HR related tasks.

In this role, the individual will:

+ Provide overall HR administration for San Jose, CA site; including maintenance of employee records, benefits, and compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

+ Maintain effective compensation plan, researching and participating in salary surveys to stay competitive, and recommending salary ranges for labor grades in support of annual compensation planning

+ Responsible for benefits administration for salaried and hourly employees. Recommends benefits programs to management by analyzing benefit options. Identifies benefit options by studying programs; studying employee requirements and trends and developments in benefits offered by other organizations; obtaining advice from Broker. Responsible for open enrollment process for benefit plans.

+ Develop and implement plans that promote positive employee relations by providing guidance, direction, coaching and consistent policy application in addressing employee disputes, investigations, and maintaining a positive work environment.

+ Monitor employee morale and satisfaction levels. Organizes team building activities, events, and recognition programs. Fosters diversity, equity and inclusion awareness, reinvigorating culture, and driving other HR related initiatives.

+ Provide holistic leadership while promoting a positive culture emphasizing teamwork, inclusiveness, and a fundamental respect for each person s / organization s contributions.

+ Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings, resume screening, interviews, and offer letter, and facilitate the onboarding process to ensure a smooth transition for new hires. Develop and maintain relationships with recruitment agencies, universities, and other talent sources.

+ Support, promote and implement key performance management initiatives including: goal setting, performance review process, leadership and career development, and talent review/succession planning program.

+ Collaborate with department managers to identify training needs and develop training plans accordingly. Coordinate training sessions and workshops to enhance employee skills and knowledge.

+ Responsible for compliance with California employment law. Specific compliance experience to include annual audits, unemployment hearings, workers compensation, EEOC, ADA and Medical disability and FMLA administration leave related situations, using third party vendors as required.

+ Maintains compliant with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation; obtaining qualified opinions; advising management on needed actions. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

+ Participate with site leadership in implementing health and safety policies and ensuring compliance.

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

**Required Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field with 12 years of proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role and a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.

+ Experience providing overall HR administration for an independently operating site, including assisting in development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs.

+ Experience finding and coordinating with external HR services (LOA, workers compensation, AAP, training, etc.) to deliver full HR support to site.

+ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels.

+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

+ Proficiency (5 years experience) in HRIS software (and related HR systems) and Microsoft Office Suite.

**Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills**

+ HR professional experienced in managing all aspects of HR function for a smaller organization

+ Experience defining and implementing HR policies for independently operating site

+ SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus

**Pay Information**

Full-Time Salary Range: $128100 - $217800

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
