We have an exciting opportunity for a Salesforce and Commerce Solutions Architect to join Ferguson! The Solutions Architect for the Ferguson Digital Trade team will work on efforts to modernize our CRM, commerce, and transactional platforms. This role will facilitate and push work within and across teams that develop on platforms that span Salesforce CRM (SFDC), Community, and Commerce Cloud and also integrate to custom legacy, on-prem solutions as well as other 3rd party integrations. The Solutions Architect will be part of a team that proposes and guides solutions that get distributed to product squads, but should also be capable of hands-on-keyboard development. This position requires dedication to exceptional results, a strong desire for continuous improvement and the ability to build a collaborative culture within our team and organization.

**Duties and Responsibilities:**

+ Provide architecture guidance and oversight for our CRM and commerce enterprise initiatives, ensuring that solutions development provides immediate benefits and allows for long-term growth and change.

+ Ensure that the respective Ferguson’s B2B and B2C business applications, data and technology perspectives align with the organization’s technology and governance strategies, policies and standards.

+ Lead technical design sessions; architect and document technical solutions aligned with client business objectives; identify gaps between current and desired end states.

+ Be aware of industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture.

+ Follow and help define coding standards. Lead code reviews during projects to ensure quality and appropriate design patterns are followed.

**Qualifications and Requirements:**

+ Overall 12+ years of IT experience, 6+ years of Salesforce implementation experience.

+ Experience with enterprise application, data, security and integration architecture patterns and domains.

+ Expert level understanding of the Salesforce product suite, including Sales, Service, Community, Marketing, Commerce Clouds, and all aspects of Salesforce Lightning out-of-box declarative, APEX and LWC capabilities.

+ Expert level experience defining the system architecture landscape, identifying gaps between current and desired end-states, and delivering a comprehensive solution that will enable the desired business outcomes.

+ Experience in delivering important IT solution in high-speed Agile delivery environment.

+ Solid understanding and experience of Salesforce managed package implementation and configuration.

+ Proven experience integrating systems via API’s as well as a solid background in Data Security model and DevOps practice.

+ Understanding of systems architecture and ability to design scalable performance-driven solutions.

+ Familiarity with platform authentication patterns (SAML, SSO, OAuth).

+ Knowledge of data integration technologies and experience integrating Salesforce with different business systems (ERP, CPQ, Cloud Storage, marketing automation, reporting, etc.).

+ Solid understanding of environment management, release management, code versioning standard processes, and deployment methodologies.

+ Experience with platform security capabilities (TLS, SSL).
