Honeywell Ground Support Solutions (GSS) is approximately a $20 million business. In this role you will work with a cross-functional team of people based in South Bend, Indiana, Puerto Rico, Deer Valley, and the Czech Republic that applies their knowledge and expertise to provide tooling and test equipment solutions for commercial and military customers worldwide.
As an Advanced Engineering Support Specialist for Honeywell Ground Support Solutions (GSS), you will be responsible for overseeing activities related to the drawing Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process, new drawing release processes and data interfacing to SAP/GTS. You will maintain procedures related to the GSS change management system. You will communicate with the GSS orders team to ensure all drawings changes are distributed to GSS suppliers during the manufacturing process. You will schedule ECN releases to ensure customer OTTR dates are met. You will work with the GSS order management team to ensure all parts are correctly loaded in the proper systems to support internal and external order demand.
Key Responsibilities
+ Improve Engineering Change Notice (ECN) thru put and drive to increase customer OTTR while decreasing past dues
+ Guide configuration management activities, including outsource drafting vendor support, internal drafting support and SAP Material Master interfacing
+ Create quarterly presentations to support overall Data Management performance
+ Manage the drawing distribution process adhering to all export and document control rules and laws
+ Foster effective communication and collaboration with internal departments such as Purchasing, Engineering, Quality and Order Management and groups external to GSS such as Eng, SAP Support and Export compliance.
+ Work with SAP and Teamcenter support teams to resolve any system issues
+ Identify opportunities for process improvement within the Eng Supp Specialist function
+ Support GSS purchasing team to ensure all documentation is properly classified
U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS
Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status or have the ability to obtain an export authorization
YOU MUST HAVE
+ 6+ years of experience engineering specialist or related roles.
+ High School diploma or equivalent.
WE VALUE
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field is of value.
+ Proficiency in a Product Data Management System, ERP System and SFDC is of value.
+ Teamcenter, Technical Data Portal and SAP/ERP System experience is of value.
+ Regulatory audit experience (AS9100D) a plus.
+ Experience in a global organization
